Waratah Track (Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park) |

This walk may state it's an 'easy walk' but it does get steep in some areas. For bikes I would definitely not consider this easy. There wasn't much to see along the track except the lookout at the end. Probably best to do this one towards spring when wildflowers are out.

I did this one return. Was a bit steep. If you have hiking poles it's a good idea to bring them along for this one. Heaton Lookout has a great view but if it's hazy you won't be able to see much.
Watagan Headquarters to Heaton Lookout (GNW) (New South Wales) |

Did the track in reverse and got stuck at a massive fallen tree. There were painted orange arrows on the trees but they led me to a dead end. Tried to navigate around the tree but felt I was heading too far of the clear track. Will attempt this track from the other way next time. I lodged a complaint with the Department regarding the tree and lack of clear signage, hopefully they do something soon. |

Amazing views and the climb is not too difficult. Watch out for leeches (we got two each) and stinging nettle (urtica dioica), they really hurt! Highly recommend wearing long pants for this walk.

A short easy walk. I cycled this one as it's quite flat, except at the end. Amazing scenery.

In my opinion the best walk of three. Great view of the dam and surrounds. Also saw plenty of wild life including a wombat, goanna and diamond python.

The path to the lookout needs to be cleared a bit, you have to navigate through scrubs to get through. Be careful at the sandy entrance of the lookout. There are a lot of red bull ants in this area (they are aggressive and will go for you if you are anywhere near them).
Lake Yarrunga view (Morton National Park) |

Flat walk and ok view but the Shoalhaven River View (the longer walk) has a better view. Plenty of wild life to see on this track, saw a wombat, goanna and diamond python.

Nice walk through the wet forest. A great place for bird watching. If you have lunch at Perch Ponds camping area you'll hear cascades, whip birds and bell miners. The signage is ok but should be improved in some areas.

An amazing view from the top. Loved the climb but feel it is a little too dangerous, one slip and you could roll off the side. Bring shoes with good grip!

It was very cloudy, making this a very magical walk through the bush. Unfortunately the clouds blocked most of the views. I was surprised with the information centre and cafe (not many walks have facilities like this). Will definitely revisit this one.

It was very cloudy, making this a very magical walk through the bush. A lot of interesting wildflowers on this side (compared to the West Rim). Unfortunately the clouds blocked most of the views. I was surprised with the information centre and cafe (not many walks have facilities like this). Will definitely revisit this one.
