Giwadha Track (Brisbane City Council Local Walks) |

A nice track without having to leave the city. There are a number of shorter tracks that branch of Giwadha but keep an eye in the direction you're going as some signs have disintegrated from termite activity. The tracks are also suitable for runners, mountain bikes and bird watchers. View? Nope. |

Best track I've done in a while. Beautiful day, view and you're sure to get the heart pumping. It's quite an adventure getting up so suggest shoes with good grip and water. We started the climb late morning and the sun made it more challenging. The legs ached in a good way for the next few days. Note: GPS sent as all over the show. Locals advised it's now called Mt Kramer. |

Disappointed to see such limited artwork. Would be wonderful if they added more to it..a community endeavour. Highlight was gourmet breakfast at the park afterwards as the walk still builds up an appetite.

Track is in the backyard of O'Reillys Rainforest Retreat so makes for a nice getaway after breakfast. I highly recommend their villas just wish we had stayed longer to enjoy all the other tracks Lamington is famous for.

Little rain made this a very dull and uninspiring track. What made it all the more interesting is talking about Mt Coothas rich history and mysteries of tragedies, murders and suicide dating back to 1927.

One of the best walks I've been on despite being so unfit and struggling on the stairs back. Views and waterfalls well worth it. A very pleasant surprise made even more beautiful with autumn leaves out in their splendour. Just keep a hot flask on hand.

Just make sure you go the right direction otherwise the grand staircase is a big "holy beep" uphill trek. Regardless one of the best walks I've been on despite being so unfit and struggling. Views and waterfalls well worth it. A very pleasant surprise made even more beautiful with autumn leaves out in their splendour. Just keep a hot flask on hand.

Schedule in a full day of exploring with the beautiful advantage points and various walks. This one isn't long but highly recommend shoes with grip as I only managed to do half as a result of the very steep stairs, high wind factor and recent rains. Heeled boots will not get you far! Pity coz I looked fabulous. Lol 😉 |
