Absolutely fabulous. It’s a great lookout and the walk is just so pretty. Well worth doing if you do the Mt Cordeaux walk. The only part of the walk that is a bit rough is just before Bare Rock.

We had trouble finding the start of the walk by you actually do walk under the sign for David Fley’s Wildlife Park. The walking track then veres off to the right. There is a map before the sign which shows where the path actually goes. I wish we’d paid more attention because we got confused and ended up turning back before finishing. The track goes for about 1.5km and then you come to a street. There armed steps directly across the road that go down to another street. That’s where it seems to end. The map shows that you then follow the streets, turning left and then immediately to to the right and then right again to go back to Tallebudgera Creek. The track probably resumes there though we didn’t get there. Have a good look at the map before you start. Sorry I did’t photograph it.

It is a strenuous walk in the way up though there are flat sections so it’s not too bad. Parts of the path are a bit stoned so care is needed. The only view really was through the trees though if you look back not too far from the top you get a bit of a view from there though it’s not over the Samford Valley.

We took the track at low tide and followed it most of the way to the Caboolture River. There are a couple of places where the track divides and we had to decide which way to go. We took the wrong track once and ended up at a dead end but you can’t really get lost. Once we found our way to the end of the track we went the rest of the way to the river on the beach. It’s a bit of a different walk through mangroves in a sandy path. Quite nice in places but it was also a bit smelly in places.

This walk was busy once again even though there’s a bit of rain around. The path wasn’t too slippery but you do need to take care on the rock stairs.

It's pretty hilly, but the track is good. We thought the walk back was harder than the walk there with the hills. The start of the Honey Track where it is overgrown looked a bit like the weeds have been poisoned, so maybe the rangers are trying to fix it. All of the grass and some of the plants at the edge of the track were going yellow. We saw a few goannas and heard plenty more.

Ok walk. There’s only a short part where you really feel like you’re walking near the creek. That’s about half way along just free the second gate. Mostly the walk is through trees with lomandra lining the path.

Really nice walk. There is a large area to explore at the falls so it’s quite fun. The only place we became confused was where we crossed o er the stream. We headed straight up the bank on what looked like a path but it disappeared into nothing. After retracing. Our steps back to the stream we found the correct path further to the left from where we crossed. It was super easy from there.

We were very disappointed with this walk and couldn’t recommend it. The Aunshine Coast has signs along the coast for a great walk which goes from South of Caloundra to Noosa. Its over 90km. We’ve been dong this walk in stages since we first saw the signs. However we don’t believe that all sections of the path are completed and there doesn’t appear to be signage in parts. We couldn’t figure out where to start this walk from the instructions but we have already walked as far as Point Arkwright so we started there. The first 900m was nice along a sandy track. After that though most of the way was along the main road. In some places there wasn’t even a path. There is a nice section beyond Marcus Beach. We ended our walk at Noosa Jumction which is a bus terminal and caught the 620 bus back the the Point Arkwright bus stop. We then walked back along the first part of the track to where our car was parked at the beginning. It would be good if some locals could enter some clearer directions. We did our best to follow the instructions given but found it quite difficult in places. Having said that we had a fun adventure and walked 20.4km in total.

Great walk. Thanks to the people who have given such clear instruction previously on this walk. It really helped. A lot of the walk is easy to follow but some parts are trickier. Se found ourselves off the track a few times. We just backtracked and looked for pink ribbons. In e you start seeing the ribbons so long as you follow them you should be right. If you think you’re on the track but it prayers out and you can’t see any ribbons you’re probably off the track. It seemed like many had done the same thing before us. A highlight was seeing an echidna.

Information about this track was unclear on other sites. We started walking up the road before we realized that it couldn’t be the track and took our 4wd up. The road isn’t as rough in the middle section but at the top it is so bad that we damaged the running board on our 4wd. Definitely don’t take a conventional vehicle up here. The views from the top are amazing. |
