Easy walk through the different forests. Great views of the river and information dotted throughout the walk. Recommend going, a little out of the way but beautiful scenery.

WOW. The photos will never do this walk justice. The path is well defined and quite regularly walked so no problem there. There are a few step areas coming back from the beach. There were toddlers walking with parents (slowly!) and all ages and fitness levels. Pack sturdy shoes as there are a few loose stones on the cut out steps coming down, slight hazard. Also, enough water to do the walk. There is a drinking water tap at the carpark near the toilet facilities.

The interchangeable weather!! Great walk that is fairly easy, mostly boardwalks and well defined rock paths. The view of Cradle Mountain and the lake were amazing. We had lots of rain and there were waterfalls that even the staff hadn't seen before. SNOW on the top of the mountain as well. Worth the effort to get to the area. Would loved to have done further walks but weather was not kind to us Queenslanders.

Very easy to access from the carpark. Great views over Hobart and the surrounds. We did the summit from the Chalet start point via ZigZag track, not for the uninitiated. Weather is always changing and the summit is very windy all year round. Waterproof jackets are very handy...!

Much easier this time without the wet path. Forgot how constantly steep it was. Worth it for the views.

The walk was worth the views at the lookout. Easy walk, definitely not a hike. Would start the walk earlier as we completed it during the middle of the day. Quite a lot of nature around so be careful where you step. You can drive the sealed road from the south or the 4WD track from the North. We did both and it was great!!! Will do again in the cooler months.

The views are stunning. Quite an easy walk up hill with a few steep areas. Easy to navigate paths. You can see the coast quite easily and stay watching that view for hours. Wonderful views and worth the drive. Easy parking at the base.

Paved all the way which is nice, however, was steep. Steep the entire way so be prepared for your legs to burn. Nice view from the top. The track was a little slippery as it had rained overnight and the leaf litter was still quite wet/damp. Will do again to improve fitness.

This is a great walk for all ages and most fitness levels. There are a few natural/rock steps along the way plus a fantastic view from the top. Would recommend this one if you’ve never been to any GHM before. I always seem to get eaten my mozzies so a quick spray before hand is a good idea. Easy to drive to and park.

Easily accessible falls, great walk, plenty to see along the path. Unfortunately there hadn’t been enough rain to have a “fall” but it still was beautiful. Great views of the hinterland at many stages.

Easy to walk circuit that takes you through some lovely undergrowth. Path was a little overgrown, didn’t look like it had been used much recently but still easy to follow path.

A leisurely track to take in the surrounds. A few areas were a little hard to stay on the path but overall a nice walk. It should suit most fitness levels. Easy parking and well signed at the start. |
