Went from Kings rd. Very steep and rocky. Lots of scrambling involved. As there are lots of sheer drop offs, this walk isn't for the faint hearted. Beautiful views from the top. Highly recommended. | ||||

I made the mistake of doing this hike during summer! The walk was sometimes challenging and there is lots of rock scrambling and climbing up scree slopes, which was hot and sweaty work. The views at the top were very rewarding. All of the scenic rim, Main range NP and the Moogerah peaks can be viewed from the top. There is a helipad and a signal station at the top of the mountain. Way back down was quicker. It took me approx 3 hours return to complete. Bring lots of water!!!!!! |

I do this walk every week. It is easy but the final section might be more challenging for some. The views from the top are good as the entire Brisbane area can be viewed but the lookout is often flocked by Asian tourists. It takes me 10 - 15 mins each way |

Nice gentle walk up to the summit. Track is well defined. The views are good but limited as they are only to the north and the west. The walk is suitable for children. |
