Fun little walk with views to Mt Tibro and the glass house region. Very popular with abseilers, 3 separate groups including what appeared to be a school. Highly recommend if you're already in the area.

This walk was nice until the trees drop off and you're in sun for the ascent. Wear a hat!! Well worth it for the views though!

Somehow managed to power through this walk pretty quickly. A lot more stairs than expected but was happy with how well kept the path was. Very popular at 4am. I forgot about daylight savings and was an hour behind sunrise. Breathtaking views, I highly recommend. Also, jogging on the way down cut 40mins off our ascent time :)

Nice walk, we started at the Ranger Station and thought we'd end up where we started as it is a 'circuit' however we ended up near the campground and luckily had a downhill jog to our car. Nice set of overhanging caves, beautiful lookout on the way. Saw a baby goanna and a red bellied black snake which got the adrenalin going. Stomped our feet the rest of the way :) Fun short walk! |

Kudos to anyone who can run up that mountain, walking with short legs was difficult enough! Great fun walk with nice views at the top.

This walk was heaps of fun! I definitely recommend if you're in Girraween! We went in the rain and it was still worth it. You can hear the rushing water but good luck finding it!

Surreal landscape walking along old lava fields. A group of 3 of us found a series of caves but with our courage found a hole we had to be pushed and pulled through then went really deep into the rock. We were in these caves for just over 2 hours. I recommend a head torch!

Nice walk which ends at some moss covered boulders. It's an abrupt end but pleasant if you enjoy just walking through the forest :) Lots of wallabies!

I attempted to run this. I ran about 100 of the 700m (and failed epically due to the ridiculous incline). Fantastic views though!

The track takes you to the Mt Blaine saddle. Due to time we quickly went up the smaller peak but not the larger. The view was blocked by trees but it seems someone's tried to make a small cairn there. Good walk for fitness, not so much for views.

Nice walk teaming with life! Spotted 3 lyrebirds and watched them mimic the calls of every other bird around. Lot's of caves and chasms about, presumably from volcanic gas tunnels. A lot of paddy melons also! A good trail running route.

First over night hike, first hike with a 12kg pack and first hike rushing to avoid a lightning storm. Ascending the more difficult route was a great idea as by the next morning my knees were shaking every step. We did the South summit on day 1 and got a few minutes away from the West peak on day 2 however due to time constraints and the state of my knees we had brekky about 40m's from the summit. Was a brilliant view. I do not recommend this route if rain is predicted, it was slippery and unpleasant sweating under a rain jacket. Still, a great walk I'm very proud of :) |

Great walk, did it in 6 hours with 1 hour lunch at the summit and carrying a filled 65L pack for training. Highly recommend, but not for those with sensitive knees. Best done early in the day :) Watch out for Roo's on the drive in and out! |
