Lots of Lantana and plants that what to scratch you and swallow you up. Not a defined track but still pretty cool to go somewhere away from all the crowds. Once you get to the summit you might wanna climb a tree to get a better view lol!

Quite easy but feels like you are almost doing Beerburrum with that incline to the top (minus the pavement). Not as bad of course! Still, very cool view of Tibro's summit route and beautiful views to the south and west. A minor scramble right near the very end before you reach the little summit. I liked this because it is not teaming with people like some of the more popular peaks and hence a bit more peace and quiet.

After many times doing the Tibro summit route I finally did this one with a knowledgeable buddy. Absolutely loved the climb, we went around the fallen down tree for the tricky start bit so it made it even easier and in my opinion didn't seem as hard (although longer) than Tibro. And the view on a clear day.....wow.

Done many times over the years. The first time I went up the tourist route I wasn't paying attention and didn't realise the track veers to the right on the way up. On the way down you can forget this and just descend straight down. This then turns into a a precarious climb and quite steep. Just stick to the track and pay attention to where you are going. Now days at least there is a little sign up saying "closed for re -vegetation" so hopefully somebody else doesn't make the same mistake I did!

A great out to sea but also a view out to the west with some more mountains to conquer. I believe some of the mountains that can be seen out to the west are Cooroy, Cooroora, Ninderry and Tinbeerwah. Of course, this mountain is teaming with people so don't expect a pleasant wander on your own. |
