Nice view over Tenterfield from the lookout and the trig is just a short walk up the road behind the lookout. Worth the short drive out of town.

Nice little climb through some rainforest from the picnic area before crossing a fire trail to the lookout with views through the trees.

The trail past the waterfall offers some views into the gorge through the trees there is no designated lookout just the unfenced cliff edge above the gorge. The trail quickly runs into the national park boundary. Returned via the road.

Decided to take the mountain bikes on this one with the aim of going further out to South Bald Rock though a popped tire derailed those plans meaning we turned round only a few kms after Little Bald Rock. There is two main ways of getting to the top of little bald rock from the East a trail leaves the main trail unsigned on the granite patch just East of the summit and leads to the top this is less commonly used though is closer when coming from Bald Rock Picnic Area along the Little Bald Rock trail alternatively following the main trail which skirts the Northern side of the summit a signed turn off to the summit is present on the Western side of the summit just as you think you have gone past it and are starting to descend. This is the main signed trail up and follows a granite slap up to the top. Saw a pair of noisy Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo at the summit as well as a Lyrebird. Good views of the peaks of Girraween.

The main lower falls were stunning after the summer rains though flow appears to decrease significantly if there hasn't been rain.

The walk to below the trig is easy the hard difficulty rating comes from the tight climb up a crevice to get to the trig on top of the tallest boulder. Difficult because of how small the crevice is probably a greater risk of getting stuck than falling out. Reminded me of the climb to the Mount Norman summit though with less exposure and with probably less technical aspects though potentially tighter. If you are unable to get up to the trig views are still offered from the rocks below.

Some decent views over the surrounding country side. Walking up to the top next to the towers offers a slightly better vantage point.

Lookout doesn't offer the best vantage point to take in the falls but still pleasant the rockpools and cascades just up stream are worth the slight detour to have an explore or swim.

Gets the majority of the climb done going up the first slab then the gradient tapers right off as you sidle along the top to the trig at the highest point. Offers great 360 views.

Managed to time it with a release of water from the spillway. Definitely the optimum time to walk it.
