Started this walk around midday and took 3 and a half hours. Was sooo windy and cold at the start/at the carpark so bring a jumper for sure :) It's Qld storm season right now and we've had lots of rain so the waterfalls were INCREDIBLE. So loud and gushing. Lots of magnificent trees but only one bush turkey sighted, nothing else in terms of fauna. Bring lots of water and enjoy the fresh air! :)

Didn’t miss the tree! lol The scramble at the top scared me a bit but I took my time and had support from friends. Highly recommend! Took 2hrs total. Definitely coming back to do again :)

This is a very popular hike! So if you want to skip the crowds do it early in the morning. For the best experience, park your car at Minyon Grass and hike down to the base of the falls, then hike back up and along the road back to your car. This way you'll walk downhill along the road instead of uphill! The waterfall was STUNNING and there's a bit of a rock scramble to the falls but it's well worth it. Bring your togs!

My first solo hike as a female. Take lots of water, energy snacks, and make sure you wear grippy shoes for the rock climbing parts. Met the loveliest couple during this hike who showed me how to navigate. It can be hard to see the spray paint or ribbons on trees. Have fun!

Easy walk to the falls, and you take the same track back to the parking lot. Beautiful place to go for a swim. Wish I went during summer!

Easy path to follow however there are quite a few stairs, so be prepared for that. Carlo Sandblow is STUNNING. There were kids boogie-boarding down it (wish I knew, then I could have brought one). Beautiful views of the ocean too. The sand was so natural and was a mix of different colours. Very unique. Highly recommend this walk. Amazing spot in QLD. |
