Walked anti-clockwise, track is muddy in some sections but manageable. Creek crossings are challenging if you want to keep dry feet. Be on the lookout for gympie gympie as there are some small plants growing right next to the track in parts.

Rewarding but challenging walk, took us 4 hrs total. Care needed on descent as it can be lose underfoot. One small section of tricky scrambling near the top.

The trail is well marked except for one spot - when you've passed the long section with the palm trees, the track appears to go up and the the right of a large fig tree. This leads you to some steep gullies and a lot of lawyer vine. The correct trail goes down to the left just before the fig tree.

A fantastic walk with lots of variation - 10+ beautiful waterfalls, gorgeous Antarctic Beech forest and views over the NSW from the Border Track section. Also, for a 17km walk it's not very hard, there's lots of switchbacks to make the uphill sections easy. Would not recommend after heavy rain however - we only had light rain in the week before doing the walk, and the path was already quite muddy and slippery in places. |

This is a great little half-day walk, with fantastic views along the ridge line over to Mt Mitchell and Cordeaux. Also goes through a number of different vegetation areas to keep things interesting on the relatively flat part back from the ridge line to Governor's Chair. Some small sections of steep scrambling, but there are plenty of rocks and trees to hang onto so most people should manage fine. I would recommend parking at the lookout and doing the walk down the road section first, as it's the least interesting part of the walk.

Did the summit circuit going up the northern face and down the southern face. I'm pretty unfit compared to most people here but I managed it, although it was tough going. View of Flinders Peak and surrounding area from the top is 100% worth it. The northern face is extremely steep and exposed, but the southern face less so, definitely agree with the other comments to go down that way. Finding the track on the southern side is only tricky at one point, when you're near the bottom you'll get to a large area of small boulders, make sure you stick left here and you should see a sign through the trees on the far left side. |

Great walk. The track up the west then the east peak is steep but nothing too crazy. However the SE Ridge track down the West Peak is very narrow, overgrown, and steep, and I honestly wouldn't recommend it unless you're comfortable doing very steep descents. It would be easier and probably more scenic to go back the way you came. |
