You will find Gold Creek Reservoir about 45 minutes from Ipswich heading out Mt Crosby way.

This is a simple little track with enough ups and downs to get the heart pumping and leg's burning 🏃‍♀️

The track is easy enough to follow but is overgrown in part's at the moment 🌿

I did this one anticlockwise and I personally think it worked out better as you have view's of the reservoir on your last leg of the hike 🏞🥾

You will be surrounded with bird song's the whole way round 🦜 and after all this glorious rain there is beautiful, lush green grassed areas to sit and have a picnic and relax when you are done 🍇🍓

This is a perfect little hike for hikers who love to experience nature but don't particularly want to drive all that far 🚗

Beautiful, undulating walk through the forest/bush land surrounding the reservoir. A simple track with enough ups and downs to get the heart pumping, depending on your pace. Wonderful bird calls the whole way around too

Good walk, Didn't see too many other people around. The track was narrow but well maintained, but the surrounding scrub is really dry and weedy.

I did the walk anticlockwise, and the second half of the walk was better as there were more views of the reservoir. There are some unmarked turnoffs about halfway through that you need to keep left on, otherwise you will venture into the nearby National Park.

Ended up here today was a good walk, but lacked good signage and would prefer a more higher degree of difficulty and suggestions, we have done Flinders Peak and really enjoyed that

Did this one clock-wise. Took me an 1:15 to complete. I really liked this track, plenty to keep you interested all the way around.

Lovely!! I followed advice of previous commenters and went anti clockwise. First half undulating but ok, second half track is wider and water views!! Good shorter walk that gets your heart pumping.

We did this one anti-clockwise starting at about 4pm. The steeper sections are fine for most people to manage in dry weather, as long as you take it slow if you're nervous walking up or down slopes. A nice length to allow you to catch up on news with a friend.

Completed the walk this morning. Certainly not a busy track like most others in the Brisbane area. I was the only one in the carpark and didn't see a soul during the entire walk. The river is currently flooded and you will need to cross at the start using the bridge about 100 metres to the North. Then follow the track around the face of the dam past the temporary closure sign. The track was quite unkempt and I appeared to be the only person to walk it today and probably in the last few days. There were hundreds of spider webs across the track, tip - get someone else to walk in front!
When you get to the fork with the wild pigs sign, keep right. Other than that, it's quite an easy walk but will get your heart pumping. I completed it in about 80 minutes without pushing very fast.

Really enjoyable walk. Went after rains, rained twice during my trek. Went anti-clockwise, first half the walk is little to no views but the track itself is really pretty. Second half the scrub opens up and the views are worth the walk. Got lost at the T Junction where “Beware Feral Pigs” sign is located. Take the track to the right, on that almost immediately theres a fork, go left. If you end up walking through thick, high, dead, branchy scrub youve gone too far. After going left, you should soon come to a creek (dry) crossing, shortly after you should spot an old horse plow that has been left to fall apart (Will be on your left). If you find that & youre continuing on a track large enough for 4WD - youre going the right way. Shortly after the plows theres another fork, take the left (walking track) and not the continued multi use, larger track. The rest is easy 👍🏼

Went with the family this morning- young kids under the age of 13- took us around 1 3/4 hours including a few water breaks.. nice walk with undulating hills but jeez its dry...

This was a lovely walk. Nice length, enough hills to get the heart started and great views of the dam at the beginning and end. We did take a wrong turn and head up a very steep fire trail for a while walking anticlockwise but corrected after less than a km.

Great walk, a few good inclines to get the heart pumping! Unfortunately we did get lost twice as there’s not a lot of signage at some points but did get back to the correct track fairly quickly. Looked liked the track had been recently cleared and tidied.
Lots of whip birds and bellbirds singing the whole time, just lovely!
Would definitely do it again!

Average quality bushwalk circuit, more interesting to walk anti-clockwise but also easier to get lost. The lake is great for water activities in summer and there's lovely romantic lakeside picnicing spots

Its a medium walk with some steep bits and slippery rocks if its been raining. Lots of birds.
