Rainforest Circuit

Main Range National Park

The circuit commences at the eastern end of The Crest car park. It passes the Allan Cunningham monument and is the beginning of an extensive track system on the northern side of Cunninghams Gap. The Fassifern Valley lookout is on the eastern part of the circuit and can be reached by climbing the stairs at the first track junction. The lookout provides a spectacular view over distinctive volcanic peaks, the Fassifern Valley and Lake Moogerah.

For an easier way round the circuit, turn left at the base of the stairs and walk the circuit in a clockwise direction.

Short and enjoyable. Busy during the weekend.

Enjoyable walk, our kids enjoyed it. Just be careful there are leeches, got one on me but fortunately not attached yet.

Nice short walk off the HWY. Did this as a warm up for My Mitchell across the road.
I would say it's a nice stroll if you're are looking for a rest stop along the Hwy, but it has actually quite a bit of elevation for an "easy" walk.

Good walk for wildlife-spotting and right next to the highway!

Added this circuit onto the end of Mt Cordeaux, Bare Rock and Morgan’s Walk to make it 15km. This is an easy loop with really lovely views out over Fassifern Valley.

A good little walk you can do whilst walking Mount Cordeaux.
We went on a weekday and there was not a lot of people, but heaps of rubbish. We picked up heaps.

We did this as part of the Palm Grove Circuit . Such a pretty area with beautiful thick rainforest and a nice lookout

We did this walk on our way to Bare Rock. We walked one side of it in the way there and the other on the way back. It would be a great walk to do if you needed to stretch your legs during a long trip as it’s right there on the highway. Quite a pretty little walk.

Easy rainforest walk with a nice lookout view of the old volcanic peaks. 1.9km took me 40 minutes (including photo and lookout time). Saw a few pademelons.

Nice easy stroll with husband and 6yo.

Even though the traffic of the busy road can be heard a fair way in to this walk, it is a lovely short dose of rainforest walking to soothe any soul.

Came here with my hubby and my two young girls. Such a beautiful walk for the whole family

A quick and easy walk to get warmed up before tackling one of the longer trails.

Had a lovely walk with Tony Wells this morning. The air was so cool and clear. We saw wallabies and birds, flowers and ferns and much more. Could do it every morning. Just beautiful.

Enjoyable walk, looks very magical during the rainy weather (very misty). Watch out for leeches though, managed to have several land on me but was lucky to not have any attach.
