A short walk on relatively flat gradients through open forest with a mixture of swamp box, ironbark and spotted gum. The unusual soil type in this area promotes short grasses and sedge's that give a parkland type appearance. Keep an eye out for the plant Melichrus adpressus, a spiky native heath species that grows in the local area. This area is known for a good diversity of bird species best heard or seen early morning or late afternoon.
Getting there
The walk starts from the end of Flesser Road, Cedar Creek at the Plunkett Regional Park sign beside the slip rail. Flesser Road can be accessed via Beenleigh Beaudesert Road > Chardon Bridge Road > Plunkett Road if coming from the Beenleigh area.

Route/Trail notes
Follow the trail signs to navigate this trail. The trail follows the main access track in from the end of Flesser Road until it meets a T intersection. Turn right at the intersection, cross the gully until you come to another intersection. From here the walk is a circuit and can be walked in either direction. To walk down the steepest part of the trail take the right hand option for a gentle climb to the highest point of the circuit. Take the left hand option if you want more of a workout. The trail in either direction follows a management trail for several hunderd meters. Follow the trail markers for directions. The middle section of the walk follows a singletrack through some open forest before meeting up with another management trail which then takes you back to Flesser Road where the walk started.
