Pleasant walk first one for a while due to the lockdown and now allowed to travel up to 50km from home. Quite and open and easy walk along management trails with a few open grassy areas. Not much rain of late so not much water in the creek.

Not the normal type of walk I do, but did this as part of Resilience Training with a work group carrying a heavy weight on a stretcher. Quite an easy walk otherwise following the old Brisbane Valley Railway track. I can definitely see the attraction for Mountain Bikers. Only did the section from Brassall bikeway on Diamantina Blvd so just over 18KM.

Quite a nice little walk. We did this on the way back from a couple of nights at O'Reilly's. Pleasant easy walk with beautiful views. I think the view of Moran's Falls is better from this lookout than the lookout for the falls.

There is a shorter route to this lookout if you are at the Villas at O'Reilly's head down to the Spa and just before the pool there is a short 500m walk to the falls lookout. Quite easy to walk it.

Great half day walk. Packed the lunch and took our time. Did the walk in a clock wise direction setting off shortly after 0930 which got us to Picnic Rock for lunch in the middle of the creek which was great. Lots of waterfalls and despite not having rain for a while there was still plenty of water.

Did this one just after arriving at O'Reilly's for a few days. Lots of birds in the undergrowth. Whilst you always hear the whipbirds first time we got to see them.

Easy to follow signs indicating this track at the start then seem to disappear and turn into just a general arrow and horse trails. I should have re-read the trail notes below a bit better. Been on better walks but would be good for mountain biking I guess.

Quite a pleasant walk in behind some acreage houses which can be done as a circuit using Worip Dr and Panicum Close to complete the circuit. My app tells me it is a tad over 4km doing it this way. Took us about 50 minutes to complete. There are 3 lookouts on the way with a seat and shelter but to be honest the best view is about 300 metres into the walk looking back over the Scenic Rim.
Goolman Lookout via Rocky Knoll (Ipswich - Flinders Goolman Conservation Estate) |

Had the entire walk to ourselves today not a soul in sight. Nice easy to follow track although if you do the circuit we did it left about via Rocky Knoll, noticed on the way back that the hill was quite steep coming down which would have made it more difficult if going up that way. Multi-Use tracks for horses, walkers and mountain bikers but not of those out today. Stopped at the Mt Goolman lookout and had lunch and still we did it in just over 2 hours.

Nice easy walk, the guide says 2.7km however the track guide at the start says 2.4km and my phone app said 2.4km as well and only took 45 mins and not the advertised 75 and we did stop for a few photos on the way. Interesting to see how much Yarrabilba has expanded from the lookouts though.
Jenyns Circuit (Tamborine National Park) |

National Parks have renamed this walk to Jenyns Circuit as the side tracks to the falls and another lookout have been closed and I anticipate they probably wont be reopening as the comments from previously in this post looks like they have been closed for some time. That said quite an easy walk although today it was misty and damp under foot. Saw Bush Turkeys, A small Wallaby and plenty of birds. The not so nice wildlife was the couple of leeches I picked up but I guess you should expect that on a day like it was. Perhaps the title of the walk should change as there are no falls to see. |
