Goomoolahra Falls and Rainbow Falls

Springbrook National Park

No need to complete the full 14 kilometre Warrie circuit, but instead walk 3 kilometres (of the 17 km track) and see at least 3 waterfalls. You are walking along the side of the cliff with sheer drops below and rock faces above.

Very picturesque and one of the nicest walks in Springbrook National Park. Not to be confused with the view of the Goomoolahra Falls from above.

Getting there

Start the walk from the Tallanbana picnic area on Springbrook Road.  Start by following the Twin Falls Circuit, but at the initial junction, go towards the right (warrie Circuit) rather than the left. Return the same way.

Really nice walk. Well maintained track. Definitely worth adding on Twin Falls.

Good option to take some visiting friends around.

Reccomend as an add-on loop to the Twin Falls walk if you want to make your walk a little longer (adds around 20 mins) but don't want to do the full Warrie Circuit. Start Twin Falls from Tallabana car park, take the Warrie Cct turn at the fork and keep walking until you reach the bottom of rainbow falls. Then go back the way you came and take the fork to Twin Falls.

It's been raining, so both waterfalls were flowing well, and the vegetation was so green and vibrant. Really good walk. The ground is a bit uneven in places, with loose rocks, so you spend a bit of time watching where you're going rather than looking around you.

Went on a Tuesday, which was good because there weren't many other people around.

Great addition to Twin Falls. Did this easily with kids (10 & 8yo)

This was a really beautiful walk. The track is quite easy, and with so much beauty and diversity that we seemed to reach both falls in no time. Loved walking behind the curtain of water at Rainbow Falls. On the return, we took the turnoff to Twin Falls which is only a few hundred metres, and so glad we did. Another gorgeous waterfall and green pool.

Great walk! i'd recommend to go a bit further down from the falls, there will be one more quite picturesque place just in ~500m.

A beautiful walk, especially after some rain. Sheer cliffs and waterfalls and very picturesque. Most people seem to prefer the shorter Twin Falls Circuit and avoid the 17km circuit sign. We had previously viewed the Goomoolahra falls from the short walk lookout at the top but this does not compare to viewing the cascades from mid way. Once day we shall continue the walk to the base.
It can be muddy and it is necessary to walk under the Rainbow falls to continue to Goomoolahra Falls. There were several other smaller water falls on the way as it had been raining.

Wish the national parks would make this its own official circuit. Many people probably stay away from entering the Warrie circuit after seeing the 16km sign.

If only they knew a short walk can take you to two nice waterfalls. Is there any way to access to bottom of Goomoolahra Falls it looks so nice there from the top. I did try once but seems too rocky and risky to get to

Done Rainbow Falls a couple times. It lives up to it's name :) Very enjoyable.
