A very peaceful easy walk around one side of Cooloolabin Dam, with great views. Lots of bird life and visitors are allowed to fish from the banks.
Turn off the Bruce Highway at Yandina and head into the town. At the first roundabout, turn left into Fleming Street, which becomes Old Gympie Road and then Cooloolabin Road. As you reach the dam, turn left down Cooloolabin Road to the dam wall and into the day use area.
The walk is signposted near the entrance within the day use area car park and easy to follow, although a little overgrown in sections. This takes you around to the levee, which you cross and then re-enter the bushland along the edge of the dam, past the Rotary Memorial and out to the second levee.
You can return by the same route, or take the first or second track on you left to cut back through to your original track.
None.
This walking track is also shared with bike riders.
