A nice one for the late afternoon or early morning, most of the track does not have tree coverage so bring a hat. Great views to be seen along the way. Plenty of places to stop for a picnic or swim.

A bit smelly from the treatment plant but it's not too bad. Apparently a good spot for birding but didn't see many due to the time of the day.

Flat and easy. Nice beach and creek views. The Cudgen Headland section of this walk doesn't have much of a set path. Choose whether you want to walk through the park, along the beach or the road. There were a few osprey flying around which was nice.

This walk was nice but I didn't really enjoy it once the track left the Warrie Circuit. The pink tape was frequent and very handy but the track was quiet overgrown. There were some nice views approaching the pinnacle. We managed some scrambling but did not continue passed a rocky platform which looked ready to crumble (probably due to frequent access by hikers). Be mindful this is a whole day hike, make sure you have sufficient daylight to complete the walk. Despite all this, the views were nice and features of the Warrie Circuit are worth the journey.

A magnificent rainforest walk with plenty of waterfalls to see (and go under) along the way. Picked up a couple of leeches, no big deal. Plenty of wildlife to see also. Well worth the effort :-)

Another great visit, still a bit expensive but nevertheless. If you come between October and January you may be lucky to see some Richmond Birdwing Butterflies (I saw several).

An easy, short and paved walk with plenty to see along the way. As there isn't much shade along the way this one is best done in the early morning or late afternoon.
Westside Track (D'Aguilar National Park) |

This walk is less busy than the others from the Maiala car park. There was a massive tree obstructing the track towards the end, this was manageable to climb under. I recommend combining this one with the Westerner Window track on the way back. It offers a nice view and will take you back to the picnic ground.

A nice lookout. You can cheat by parking alongside the road and walking down the steps. If you are after a bit more of a challenge consider combining this walk with the Westside Track.
Burringbar Range Tunnel (New South Wales) |

An enjoyable walk. Walking on the rail track was a bit challenging at times. The tunnel was amazing, saw plenty of micro bats and glow worms. The overgrown section at the end was very popular with the bird life.

If you love panoramic views then this walk is for you. The track was a bit muddy due to the light rain the previous day. The path is a little overgrown in sections and I did see two snakes, definitely wear long pants for this one. Once the track splits from the Border Track the amount of traffic decreases significantly. The Border Track feeds most of the other tracks in the area so the traffic is a lot higher which reduces the chances to see wildlife, because of this it can be a bit of a slog. Despite this, the Orchid Bower and Araucaria lookouts were amazing and well worth the journey.

Amazing lookout at the top. Plenty to see on the way as well. This walk requires a bit of rock hopping towards the top (not steep enough to call it scrambling). The best view I've experienced in the Grampians so far. Highly recommend.

Some spectacular rock formations to be seen. The lookouts are also great. The final section requires scrambling and can be quite tricky. There's good views even if you choose to not partake in the scramble. Do not attempt when wet as one slip could be fatal. |
