Henry Head Walking Track (New South Wales)
26 Jun, 2016
Easy
4km return
1 hr
A short and easy walk filled with plenty of fantastic coastal views. The ruins at the end are very interesting. Good for tourists as it's so close to the city. If you are keen to do a longer walk consider the Cape Banks Circuit.
Cape Banks Circuit (New South Wales)
26 Jun, 2016
Medium
7.3km return
3 hrs
Plenty to see on this walk, coastal views, ruins, a shipwreck, and heaps of wildlife. Great for tourists. Arguably the best coastal walk closest to the city.
Bouddi Coastal Walk (New South Wales)
25 Jun, 2016
Medium
8km one-way
3.5 hrs
Not too much to see on the first half of the walk (starting from the Macmasters Beach / east end) but the second half has some spectacular views. Photography wise it would be better to do this one early morning or on a summers day. Too late in the afternoon is difficult to get good shots as the cliffs cast large shadows over the views.
Three Sisters Walk (New South Wales)
20 Jun, 2016
Easy
1.6km return
30 mins
A short and easy walk with great coastal views to be seen almost through the entire walk. The signs tell interesting stories about the history of the area. The Broken Head version of the Three Sisters walk is very different from the one in Katoomba :-)
Minyon Grass to Base of Minyon Falls (Nightcap National Park)
18 Jun, 2016
Hard
4km return
2 hrs
The track was a bit muddy but worth it to see the base of the waterfall. In my opinion the 10 min scramble at the end is a bit too dangerous, especially when wet.
Greater Wetland Walk (Berrinba Wetlands) (South East Queensland)
17 Jun, 2016
Very Easy
2.8km return
45 mins
Such a nice area not too far from the city. Good for bird watching and picnics.
Gardners Falls (Sunshine Coast)
6 Jun, 2016
Very Easy
600m return
30 mins
Very easy walk, would be a nice area for a picnic.
Mitchell Park Loop (New South Wales)
Jun, 2016
Medium
5km return
2 hrs
This park is temporarily closed due to recent heavy rain, please check the Dept NP website before heading out. Most tracks are intact however the Old Man Banksia track was greatly impacted, a number of trees have fallen and the track is no longer defined in some areas.
Longneck Lagoon (New South Wales)
Jun, 2016
Easy
4km return
90 mins
A beautiful lagoon with heaps of bird life and interesting trees. Loved the boardwalk sections. The heavy rain last week flooded short sections of the southern and upper western parts of the loop. These sections are still passable, the water is ~20cm high. It will probably take a couple of weeks for the water levels to recede. The track is not clearly defined nor signed in some parts so make sure you bring a GPS or phone with you.
Cliff Circuit (Main Range National Park)
31 May, 2016
Easy
400m return
30 mins
A shorter walk which takes you to the top of the falls lookout.
Atrax Circuit (D'Aguilar National Park)
14 May, 2016
Easy
800m
1 hr
Another visit, a lot drier and enjoyable this time.
Morelia Track (D'Aguilar National Park)
14 May, 2016
Medium
6km return
2 hrs
Nice easy and flat walk. Great views to be seen from Mount Nebo lookout.
Killarney Glen - PERMANENTLY CLOSED (South East Queensland)
May, 2016
Medium
2.5km return
45 mins
Check out the love heart pool and waterfall. Note the military uses this area so sometimes the track may be closed.

The walk is steep in some areas. Some of the slopes contain loose dirt and rocks so extra care needs to be taken. The signage at the glen states swimming and diving are NOT allowed. There were a lot of people disobeying this signage which is disappointing. I envision the walk will be closed soon as someone is bound to eventually injure themselves severely.
Lockleys Pylon (Blue Mountains National Park)
25 Apr, 2016
Medium
7km return
2 hrs
This is a truly spectacular walk with sweeping views of the Blue Mountains. Walking along the ridge gives you a real sense of 'wilderness'. Highly recommended.
Curra Moors (Royal National Park)
24 Apr, 2016
Medium
10.2km return
3 hrs
Start of the walk was very muddy (even after a fairly light rain) but once you enter the circuit it's much more comfortable. Amazing views to be seen along the coast section. Make sure you don't miss the view of Eagle Rock and Curracurrong Waterfall pouring directly into the ocean :-)
Watagan Creek Rd to Flat Rock (GNW) (New South Wales)
16 Apr, 2016
Hard
4.1km one-way
2 hrs
This is a nice country walk and Flatrock is a very beautiful lookout, however I ran into an issue accessing this the start of the walk. Initially I tried driving down Watagan Creek Rd from the East / Olney Watagan side. My standard 2WD has been able to handle the main unpaved roads of Olney / Watagan but the state of Watagan Creek Rd on this end was absolutely horrible and incredibly dangerous (several blows to the undercarriage, surprised it came out in one piece). When I was almost at the bottom I came across a 4WD heading up (I wasn't the only one who headed down the road). The driver stated the bridge was down and impassable, apparently a boulder is also obstructing access. After almost an hour drive around the valley, the road was clear through the Laguna end. Upon returning and doing an Internet search, it appears bureaucratic and cost issues are preventing the road and bridge from being repaired. Since these repairs do not seem part of the foreseeable future I have lodged a request for the department to at least install additional warning signage on the Olney / Watagan side. Hope this helps others avoid that route.
Blue Lake River Walk (New South Wales)
9 Apr, 2016
Easy
700m return
30 mins
I originally thought photos of this lake were photoshopped but it is truly this blue (it looks the most vivid on a clear day). Has to be seen to be believed.
Kanangra-Boyd Lookout Walk (New South Wales)
9 Apr, 2016
Very Easy
1km return
30 mins
A very long drive from Sydney but it is truly an amazing view. Be sure to do the Plateau Walk for even more breathtaking views.
Plateau Walk (New South Wales)
9 Apr, 2016
Medium
5km return

A very long drive from Sydney but well worth it. The view from the plateau is absolutely breathtaking. One of the best views I've seen in NSW. Highly recommended.
South Lawson Waterfall Circuit (New South Wales)
8 Apr, 2016
Medium
3km return
90 mins
Come here if you want to see four waterfalls in an hours walk. The falls are even more spectacular after the rain. This walk is less known by tourists so the track isn't as crowded.
