If you have done Beerwah, you will find Mt Amos a lot easier and the views are more rewarding! It's also less steep / slippery than Beerwah and it's a lot less exposed. I found that there is 1 section midway that can make people chicken out but once you pass this section, you've done the worst of it. Mt Amos would be the sweet combination of Mt Cooroora and Girraween's Pyramid. DO NOT ATTEMPT WHEN WET as it can get very slippery and having shoes with good grip would be helpful. | ||||

This mountain involves a short hike from the car park to the base of the mountain and then rock climbing the whole way up. Some parts were almost vertical but there are a lot of good hand/foot holds. I have done Beerwah previously and I found Beerwah WAY WAY scarier. |

Depart from Girraween Day Use Area and follow signs for Pyramid Rock. Clear track with white spots to guide you to the top! Rough surface however gets steep - definitely do not do this when wet! Amazing view at the top and a rewarding experience. |

Wow, this Mountain is great! Too much haze at the top, would definitely do this mountain again on a clear day! Took us 2 hours to get to the top with rbreaks in between as we went with a big group. My calves are sore after this hike and it's not very often that I get sore - The inclines of the walk up hill before the halfway mark is a killer. Remarkable! |
