A really lovely find in the suburbs! We went after work and walk to Pelican Walk, then back and down to the Secret Forest. All up 6kms and took us about 1.25 hours. Level paths, very easy to follows, lots of birdlife. Really enjoyed and looked forward to heading back soon.

We went uphill first, anticlockwise, about 45 minutes of decent slow and not particularly interesting and would highly recommend this compared to clockwise. BUT coming down through the amazing rainforest seeing all the beautiful falls, creek crossings and stunning scenery completely worth it. Took us about 3.5 hours. Tired, but we loved it. There is a little bit of clambering required, crossing creeks and tree roots, so be sure footed.

I have little legs and found this one quite challenging, though very beautiful. Quite a few big steps, so watch your knees. Lovely rainforest walk, coming to the top of the falls, you crossover and head down to the base, lovely spot to spend some time and reflect.

Came from Lake Manchester Rd access and went anticlockwise around the loop up to the lookout and back. Up up up! Quite a few challenging steep hills to go up and come back down. A bit of scree, could get interesting in wet or dry weather. Having said that, view was definitely worth it! Beautiful lookout over the undulating hills and to Lake Manchester reservoir. Recommend walking poles and lots of water.

Steep climb, levels out for a while and a final steep pinch up to lookout. Nice walk, but take repellent or you'll be carried away by March Flies.

I had thought heading down to the valley floor and back up would be taxing. Actually a surprisingly easy walk. We headed clockwise to avoid climbing stairs on the way back. Beautiful spot to watch nature do it's thing.

Great little walk through some beautiful rainforest. Stayed at Gordon Country, so a short drive from there. 4WD necessary for some creek crossings to get to the walk. Beautiful lookout, can be a little muddy and slippery underfoot, but all in all a very easy pleasant walk with spectacular views at the top.

Gentle walk, but rocks can be slippery at The Junction. Seemed to take a bit longer to get out there than expected. Beautiful after some rain, very peaceful. Some people were going swimming, a bit too nippy for my liking.

Great hike. As others have said, golden orb spiders everywhere, but also heaps of beautiful wrens on the fire trails and whip birds as you ascend. Mount Catherine is a worthwhile side trip of about 15 minutes. From here is a great view to Blaine, got me pumped to keep going. I headed up the northface, very scrambly lots of leg work. Not many spots to stop and enjoy the view. Beautiful views of Flinders from the top. Check out the geocache on top. Headed down the southern face which I think is marginally easier, though I got a bit lost towards the very end, think a couple of new tags/markers are in order. Loved the hike, preferred this over Flinders.

This was harder than I anticipated. The first section is dry and a little dull, not much to see for the first 20 mins or so. Then the boulder climbing starts, this was my favourite section, but not a place you can get any speed up, I think that's what I found frustrating about the hike. Plenty of scrambling and beautiful views the higher you get. Ye with little legs, be warned. It took me alot longer than I'd thought, but I'm not particularly fit. Plenty of food and water is a MUST.

I went up and down SE Ridge. Great views from the rocky slab, not sure I'd worry too much about heading up further to the summit again, views are nearly as good, but still nice to have done that. Saw a glider (not sure which sort, too dark), wallabies and some wrens. Good challening walk. |

Easy, well maintained track up to the summit. With option to continue onto Bare Rock and Morgans walk. This particular morning the cloud was initially down adding a misty atmosphere - very nice. So the summit was clouded over, but I continued onto Morgans walk - again misty. On the way back, the clouds suddenly parted, so back up to the summit, beautiful views and a great way to start the new year. Plenty of birdlife to see, if you're quiet. The walk up took about an hour. Back down I took my time.

Started at 3.30am to get to the summit for sunrise. Beautiful sections of rainforest, plenty of bird life and rock wallabies along the way up. Some steep stairs along the top sections, sure footing is a must. Views were spectacular in every direction, great to get an overview of the area.
