After the start at plum picnic area the trail goes up steep and appears to be quite boring. Higher up it gets narrower up to a point where you doubt it is the trail. Climbing over loose rocks and through dense vegetation brings you to the top. The 360 views up top are breathtaking. The continue trail on the other side is even harder to follow and massively overgrown. The loose rocks are quite treaterous and the branches to hold on to are often spikey. Watch where you grab! A tough trail, but worth the effort.

It is a beautiful walk and the gorges at the end are absolutely worth the effort. Be prepared to get your shoes wet. Often there is no accessible trail next to the creek and your only option is to walk the creek itself. We were prepared for a swim at the end, but were not expecting to be wading so often. So bring comfi sturdy shoes you are willing to get wet and a waterproof bag/container for your electronic stuff. On the return, the path back up to the parking area is well hidden. Use the high bridge as a pointer and keep a sharp eye on pathways going up from there. |

From carpark go towards Hamilton road, through the gate. After 100m trail starts to the right. Nice short walk, took 15min. to get up (short quite steep gravel path) and walk around the reservoir. Back down we continued the trail to end up at Milne trail. Walked back using Trouts Road and Hamilton Road, total 2.5km

Tougher than expected with some steep uphill sections for that nice burn in the legs. Spotted a red belly black snake on the way. Some nice views but nothing spectacular.

suprised it was indeed completely paved, but as it's so steep, you're legs feel this one. Enjoyed it! (and I don't envy the pavers...)

We did this one in about 30 degrees. Makes you appreciate the shade in the lower half of this walk. But the views on top are amazing and it's nice to watch people "abseiling" for a while.
