This track reminded me of a highway - there were many people walking it. If you are walking the track to experience wildlife, your chances may not be so good with the amount of people walking it.
Trachyte Circuit (Glass House Mountains National Park) |

We enjoyed this walk as it wasn’t as busy as the Tibrogargan Circuit and went through a variety of landscapes. The look out was a good spot to take in distance and landscape. Due to it being the circuit less travelled we actually saw some birdlife.
Venman Circuit (South East Queensland) |

A reasonable walk with inclines and declines. It was dry when we went through - only stagnant water in the bigger creek. There is some birdlife, saw a wallaby and lace monitor lizard. Pack lunch and have a nice stroll.

Good track to do. Be prepared for hills and some loose stones but otherwise a great track to include in a circuit.

A good walk however, if you enjoy walking through bushland on tracks reminiscent of bushland this may not be your experience. The upgrades to this track include manicured edging, concrete steps (in the shape of stones), stone retaining walls , sealed track with small pebbles and concrete paths. If you are preparing for trail walking you may wish to select another track. I did this track as part of a 14k circuit.
Honeyeater Track (Mt. Coot-tha) |

The track is well maintained and utilised by many. If you are interested in birdwatching I found the track to be a bit slim - there are honeyeaters but in the higher reaches ( Scarlet Honeyeaters, Yellow-faced Honeyeaters, Silvereye) - I spotted more birds on other tracks. This track is good for the incline and to include with other walks.
Litchfield Track (Mt. Coot-tha) |

This was a lovely walk and easy to do. The track was well maintained and easily found down the road from the lookout - alongside two other walks. I expected more from the old gold mine location (relics?) as it was a picnic spot. I followed the trail back to the starting location to make it a 5 k walk and added the Honeyeater Trail to it.
Somerset Trail (D'Aguilar National Park) |

I really enjoyed this walk due to native bushland, rainforest and pine forests as your scenery. I am glad I wore my trail boots as the track was damp and muddy in areas which made it feel more like a trail! Came across Yellow-throated Scrubwrens, Eastern-yellow Robins, Little Shrikethrush, Scaly-breasted Lorikeets, Australian-king Parrotts, Red-browed Finch, Pale-yellow Robin, Brown Thornbills and Grey Fantails to name those that I identified. The view at the lookout, and when you continue on the track, of the dam and surrounding mountains was fantastic. We also did the extra 1km ring trail through a rainforest area which was lovely. Highly rate this track and would do it again.

Great to have such a location close to Brisbane city. Native plants and wildlife - saw a wallaby, Tawny Frogmouths, Laughing Kookaburras, White-throated Treekeeper, Buff-rumped Thornbill, Fan-tailed Cuckoo, Glossy Black-cockatoo, Gray Butcherbird, Grey Fantails and many Noisy Minors.

A refreshing walk through the rainforest - lovely and peaceful. The track is well maintained and provides diverse flora. Spotted a wallaby, Wompoo Fruit-dove, Australian King Parrot, White-browed Scrubwren, Australian Logrunner, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo, Green Catbird, Regent Bowerbird and Large-billed Scrubwren. This track is easy to follow.

This area is an easy walk. There are opportunities for bird watching and there is a bird hide for waterbirds. A peaceful location that I hope will attract more birdlife over the coming years.

I have done this walk many times not only for its peacefulness but also for spotting birds. If you are a birder you can certainly be kept entertained. If you would like a peaceful walk in nature this walk ticks the box as well.

A fantastic walk! I didn’t go to the summit - there was a boulder that was just a bit too big for me to get my nerves over! However, I enjoyed sitting on the side taking in the amazing view. Really loved seeing the wombats in the late afternoon. Highly recommended.

Stunning scenery along this walk - some elements remind me of fudge being broken apart! Don’t forget to take you camera with your wide angle lens. We were thankful we did this walk in the cooler months. Highly recommended.
