Great walk. Nothing more to be said. Elabana falls is the big drawcard.

As an aspiring poet I thought a quick run up to poets rock would give me some inspiration.
This rock is so meh that I am yet to write a poem.
Awesome track for a run though, I must admit.

Such a great place to run/walk after work as it is so close to home. Fantastic views at sunset up at the north western rocky lookout.
Mount Beerwah Summit (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Visited again and the carpark was full. People all over the mountain. A good/bad thing.
I was doing a speed run and managed to complete the climb from carpark to carpark in 56 minutes!
Mt Coochin (East and West Peaks) (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Decided to check this out after I did Mt Beerwah the same morning so i was already tired.
Followed the instructions to a tee. Everything was easy to follow and it wasnt too strenuous.

It was quite a fun little double peak and I will certainly be back!
Gwongoorool Rock Pools (Lamington National Park)

Great spot for a swim.
Did this after the Cave circuit so had built up a bit of sweat so the chilly pool was ideal.
Incredibly serene spot at the rock pools. Well worth the short walk.
No leeches seen.
Caves Track (Lamington National Park)

Nice short walk. Nothing too hard, some nice highlights are the caves and the path through the rock. Did the Gwongoorool pool after this then walked up the road back to the lodge to finish.
Mount Beerwah Summit (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Lots of people climbing today. I would debate that Beerwah is harder than Tibrogargan, purely on length wise. Clear to see that this climb would be near impossible and quite silly to do in the wet or even if there is a chance of rain.

When you get to the cliff base turn left and follow the cliff line until you come across a marking pointing towards 'The Herd' cave entrance. Super tight squeeze even for small people. After a 5-10 metres of crawling you enter a small chamber where the possibility of being hit by bats is real.

Best place in town to cool off in some rock pools!
Mt Cougal (Springbrook National Park)

Completed both peaks 01/11/2015. The track overall is mostly easy to follow all the way up to east peak. Then the small distance to West peak becomes a challenge. Constantly stopping and taking a few seconds to look behind you and remember which way to go on the return will help, along with spotting any ribbons placed around the place. The heavy foliage could easily land you in a dangerous spot.
Incredible fun however, cane fields, cave, old growth rain forest, spectacular views, rock scrambling and bush bashing. Its all there. One of my favourites now. Pro-tip: Wear zip off pants as the grassy/lantana area can be unpleasant when it has grown over..

Amazing walk, loved the rainforest sections. Fantastic views from the top. The enclosed area at the summit cairn was a tranquil and beautiful spot to chill out on a hot day. Worth every step. Saw some large lizards, small snakes and lots of birds busily preparing their nests.

After finishing the Mt Mitchell climb I still felt I had some juice left in the tank. Jogged to the end then walked my way back. Good for a picnic at the top carpark if you start from the crest carpark.
Great walk for the unfit, young or elderly and anyone in between.
Beautiful surrounds with some wildlife to be found.
I saw 3 pademelon wallabies hopping about, a potoroo, birds and lizards.
Can imagine how much better this would be after a good soaking of rain.
Bare Rock track and Morgan's Walk (Main Range National Park)

Beautiful walk. Great views, well graded track makes for swift walking/jogging. Perfect spot for lunch at Bare rock overlooking the ramparts.

Update: So I decided to do an overnight trip and camp in the middle of the ramparts at the South Knoll campground. (if you could call it that, more like a small area someone had brushed the leaves away.
Warning: If you plan to continue along past Bare Rock into the ramparts you must take at the very least a compass, gps and sound navigation skills.
There is no track through here, just a faint footpad only traceable on the odd occasion.
Heavy cloud came through the morning of my walk back and I lost my bearings and became disoriented. I gave up and used my compass only to find that I was heading in the total wrong direction and did a 45 minute circle.
STRICTLY FOLLOW THE CLIFF EDGE. Never let it get out of your sight! Don't walk over it but make sure you know where it is at all times and the heavy cloud could make you lose your way. Otherwise its a great adventurous trek through there.
Palm Grove Circuit (Main Range National Park)

Did this after Mt Cordeaux/Bare Rock walk.
It looked like some maintenance work is taking place on this track as it looked a little scrappy ie offcuts etc.
Im sure this walk is a lot better than the way I saw it. Some nice changes between rainforest/dry scrub forests.

Walked up on Queens birthday holiday.
Perfect weather in the morning, started at 8am.
Went up through Palm Gorge, it was eerily silent and cold, but otherwise amazing place. It seemed everyone else was ascending via South East ridge.
Descended down South East ridge, went left instead of right at the guidance cairn on the rock slab, kept getting stopped by cliff edges. After 20 minutes of that headed back to the cairn and went right and quickly found the track down through the scree slopes.
If descending via SE Ridge, remember. Go right at the guidance cairn, not down or left.
A good, 3-4 hour round walk. Highly recommended and will be back to check out waterfall gorge!
