Some comments here read as though they are expecting a graded track. To be clear, this is NOT A GRADED TRACK, which means tree falls arent removed, overgrowth is certain and errant footpads are common. It was an easy, fun little walk to the Pinnacle. Certainly would do again! Water was pumping after heaps of rain! |

Did the same route as Michael. As this is not a graded track, go with someone who has done this before, or be a very handy navigator. Trip stats: 15.6km, 6hours 40 minutes. Total gain/loss 850m. Make sure to keep a lookout for the small track leading to a lookout just below the Mt Roberts summit on the south side which gives fantastic view of the Steamers. |

Spectacular, incredible walk. Ascended Mowburra Peak, dropped down to focal peak and across to Montserrat then back down to Graces hut. (The traverse between Mowburra & Montserrat is recommended for people very experienced in navigation in thick rainforest, there is no track and no visuals!)

Navigation is easy but dont do this walk in the wet. Extremely steep hiking! View from the top were hampered by low fog but otherwise a fun mountain to climb. |

Logans ridge is an awesome test of ability and mental power. Do not attempt after or during rain as wet rocks are slippery which could mean big trouble. Moreso than ever, only go with someone who has done it before! |

Completed the circuit clockwise. Great fun, recommend some navigational knowledge, sturdy shoes, rock scrambling experience and a good time will come! After descending south peak we did the walk to upper portals then the long walk down the 4wd road back to the campground. Awesome day.

Started the walk from the reserve and walked up the 4wd track. Probably wont start from there ever again! Once the portals were visited, ascended up the track starting from the high point of the portals bypass and climbed steeply uphill to the top of the ridge with stunning views of Mt Barney. 10 minutes later we hit the end of the fire trail and followed it all the way back to the Barney NP sign and back to Cleared Ridge. The 4km back down the 4wd road was torturous! |

Amazing! What a great, fun hike this is! Not hard to get lost. There is a huge overgrowth/fallen tree just before the ridgeline.just remember to veer right instead of left. You want the cliff line on your left!! Although heading left (with cliff on the right) leads to nothing of note, it was a bit of fun going the wrong way for half an hour! Did find a spot of sharp rock slates that would have all the potential for primitive tools! Will be back again to go all the way to the top. |
