Completed this walk using the same route as Grumps. Went up through the overgrown scrub and descended down the natural watercourse (which looks like a well used track). What fun! I climbed this as part of my 7 summits in one day challenge.
Mount Tibrogargan Summit (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Had a great time on this climb. Was already tired from climbing 3 others that morning but tackled it with enthusiasm anyway. Flew past all that were climbing and flew past those on the way down. Total time from carpark and return was 1:15! Part of my 7 summits in one day challenge.
Mt Elimbah (The Saddleback) (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Great little adventure this one! Followed the left track, found a sort of grassy area and made my way direct. Came across a crag and moved to the right and reached the summit nicely. Part of my 7 summits in one day challenge :D
Mt Miketeebumulgrai (Glass House Mountains National Park)
12 Apr, 2015
Medium

First on my 7 summits in one day challenge. I parked right opposite the sign on the road at 15 minutes before sunrise. Followed the watercourse for a short while then went straight up. Lots of loose rocks, so wear some good trekking boots for this one.
Mount Beerburrum (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Nice, easy, simple walk up a very steep, quad killing mountain. 3rd summit i climed on my 7 summits in one day challenge.
Mt Ngungun (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Sixth in line on my 7 summits in one day challenge. I was exhausted, dehydrated and spent when I got here, still I finished it! Nice views from up the top. Nice cave to explore here aswell :D
Wild Horse Mountain (Glass House Mountains National Park)
12 Apr, 2015
Medium
1.4km return
30 mins
I chose this as the last destination on my 7 summits in one day challenge.
After completing (in order): Miketeebumulgrai, Elimbah, Beerburrum, Tibrogargan, Tibberoowuccum and Ngungun I was out on my feet when I got here. My quads and hamstrings were cramping up all the time. I was exhausted, hungry and desperate to finish. Never has the easy climb up this hill been so hard!!

Amazing. This is not only my favourite walk/trek I've ever done but my most favourite trip of all time.
Spectacular from day 1 and every day. The best scenery I have ever seen. I recommend you do this at any cost if you have the fitness.
Note: Extremely Cold!

Purling Brook Falls Circuit (Springbrook National Park)
14 Oct, 2010
Medium
4km return
2 hrs
Completed this walk twice now, all the way down to the rock pool. Very nice easy walk with a good swim at the end. Purlingbrook Falls is an amazing drawcard and worth the effort.
A little spin on this track instead of returning via the walking track: It is possible to climb directly up the creek from Warringah Rock pool to purlingbrook falls! Just follow the creek bed sometimes wading through shallow water and climbing large boulders. Good fun and takes no more than an hour!

This was the very first hike I did as a child of 7 years old.
The Grampians were the first mountain range I ever saw, due to living in country Victoria.
I fondly remember the rock formations.
I used to look at the Grampians from a distance with wonder in my eyes and adventure in my heart, that same feeling ignited inside of me when viewing the Himalayas and Andes for the first time!

A special place for me and one I hope to get back to one day.
