When someone asks me about doing this climb I describe it as “the perfect mountain” because it is a perfect amount of challenge and ease. For me there are only 2 very small sections that make my heart freeze abit but the rest is just perfect fun scrambling it’s actually quite easy but a good workout. Views are completely worth it. Beautiful mountain

Challenging climb. Found it quite rewarding reaching rhe summit

Harder than I thought it would be, but a good intro to climbing. Great views.

Best done in the early morning as the path is completely in the shade. Fun climb and good views. For the uninitiated the pleasing thing about Mt Tibrogargan is that it becomes progressively easy as you ascend; the three toughest parts are all in the bottom tiers, giving inexperienced climbers an idea as to how their abilities shape up and allowing an early opt-out.

Do not do in the rain, simply not worth it, and make certain to give warning to climbers below if you dislodge any stones on the path.

Typically takes me around 47 minutes non-stop from the wooden-decked lookout at the start of the access path, to the cliff-top beyond the summit, and back to the wooden-decked lookout again, but I climb the mountain frequently.

Very quick. 45 mins up and down. Do not do in the wet.

Have done about 10 times. Still my favorite quick climb/scramble. INCREDIBLE views, and good fun to power up. Not for those scared of heights as in parts quick a steep drop. First timers (myself included in 2013) often panic about how they'll get down. Rest assured a little crab walk/bum slide in parts will solve this issue. A must do!

Awesome climb, I've done it both in night and day time! I wouldn't recommend if you're not too keen on heights, as it's quite exposed. Takes just over an hour for me with rest breaks. Heaps of fun, great views.

Good view from the top love tibro!

Love this climb! Wouldn't recommend for those scared of heights and climbing without ropes.
We did it in 1 hour 30 return and that was with lots of rest breaks.

Classic. Rock climb is a little tricky, but heaps of holds. Just a bit exposed, so freaks people out.

2nd time for this one. Seems to get easier and more familiar with each climb. Love the view!

Great climb. A few scary moments but totally worth it!

Starts as easy trail, then gets increasingly steep and rocky as you zig zag up to the base of the rock scramble.
Very steep scramble (especially very first section), exposed, some loose rock.
Excellent vistas on the way up...probably even better than final view at summit.
Only for those free from vertigo.
Be aware you are climbing the western side, so you will be in full sun if you do this in the afternoon.

If you can climb and downclimb the bottom short section the rest is a fairly straightforward scramble. It's all on very low angle terrain. But not an enjoyable hike with hundreds of other people on the same track...

Done many times over the years. The first time I went up the tourist route I wasn't paying attention and didn't realise the track veers to the right on the way up. On the way down you can forget this and just descend straight down. This then turns into a a precarious climb and quite steep. Just stick to the track and pay attention to where you are going. Now days at least there is a little sign up saying "closed for re -vegetation" so hopefully somebody else doesn't make the same mistake I did!

Tough climb. I attempted it a couple times on my own but wussed out until I had some friends. The open section at chicken rock is quite tricky
