This circuit leads through open woodland and heathland linking Mount Tibrogargan and Mount Tibberoowuccum. Interpretive signs along the track provide details of the area's special features. The Jack Ferris lookout, on Trachyte Ridge, allows for good views of the surrounding peaks. This ridge owes its name to a type of volcanic rock which forms many of the Glass House Mountains peaks.

Nice, casual stroll through she-oak and banksia.
You can park at the Mt Tibro carpark and take the path behind the main info sign.

We did the Trachyte circuit to Jack Ferris lookout to watch the sun set. To get to the part of the track we wanted to start from, we drove through Matthew Flinders Park (off Steve Irwin Way) onto Evans Rd and then Berteaus Rd and followed the signs to the carpark. We spotted an echidna on our way back.

Recommend the extra bit at the end around the base of Mt Tib.

One of my favourite walks, started at around 3:30pm waited in silence at Jack Farris look out as the bush around came alive with all types of birds, finches, bowerbirds, mistletoe birds - sensational colours. The candle stick bottlebrush and Geebungs were out and looking healthy. Nice time of year and day to do this walk.

2nd bushwalk - very easy for unfit people like ourselves.

It was a lovely hike/Walk the look outs near Mt Tibberoowuccum and at the bottom of Tibrogargan are wonderful.

We did this track and the extra bit around Tibro. Nice walk and nice views. Easy to follow and easy walk.

Started the walk late and it was a hot day. Some cooling from the odd tree cover but not enough. Nice walk though.

Nice partially shaded walk. Great views from the lookout point.
Had some people there on Saturday morning, but not too busy.

Lovely walk, fairly level (no steep sections, though sometimes rough underfoot) and well signposted. Some excellent views and lots of benches near the end of the walk. Loads of different types of forest to walk through. Really enjoyed it!

Worth the side track up to Jack Ferris lookout. When I walked through, quite a bit of the pine forest had been cut down. The track is well-graded and relatively easy to follow.

Did the walk anti clockwise as recommended, well signed all the way round and no issues navigating the track

We decided to do the 6km walk. We went to the lookout and after that followed all the signs even though the track seemed to be moving further away from the mountain when it seemed like we should of been heading back to it with the distance we had already walked. Then we ended up at a school and had to walk on the road and get onto Steve Irwin way. We saw the picnic area/loo. We headed back towards the mountain via a fire track and back onto a circuit which was another 1.7km. Omg we were so lost and exhausted and annoyed. Get the signage right National Parks. Never going back!

Love this trek. Part of circuit closed for maintenance until 20/05/17 but detour provided to Jack Ferris lookout and loop back to Tibro circuit. If using Matthew Flinders car park, head up Evans road to find track markers. Pretty easy going trail with a few up hill areas and steps in some places.

We thought that we would take it easy on our first Bushwalk of the new season, having had three months out due to injury and 'the heat'. Yep, we don't climb mountains at this time of year in South East Queensland!
It was great to see that National Park staff were out strimming the paths to make them more clearly defined, as directions were a little unclear when crossing fire trails.
We included the Tibrogargan Circuit on the walk and given that it was a scorching hot day we were pretty 'bushed' by the end.

This is a fantastic area with loads of wildlife and great views. One of my favourite locations in South East QLD
