Well maintained track, easy walk, pretty area. One of the loudest places I have ever been! Not sure if it was this day or time of year but the cicadas were deafening to the point of being unpleasant (especially for children). |

After doing very little hiking for months, this one tested me! Mostly the length (about 4 hours including lunch break over the beautiful lookout) and small inclines... But a lovely walk. From pine forests to bush land and wild flowers. Significant burning recently taken place in parts but even that was pretty.

One of my all time favourite little treks. Lucky enough to see plenty of snow around from a fall six days prior (late and uncharacteristic for this time of year...). Great track which is well maintained. It is an easy walk for those with moderate fitness and the views are just amazing! Too challenging a walk for my aged Parents just as an FYI.

This is approx 10km circuit trek from the Mapleton National Park Day use area. Easy to follow track and pretty hike. Allow approx 2.5 - 3 hours for general hike, longer if planning on climbing down the rocks to the gorge as mentioned below.

A very challenging walk with very steep ascension in many areas. We had to stop often given our average fitness levels, but well worth it! Took about three hours. Lots of wildlife and a terrific view of surrounds at the top.

Love this trek. Part of circuit closed for maintenance until 20/05/17 but detour provided to Jack Ferris lookout and loop back to Tibro circuit. If using Matthew Flinders car park, head up Evans road to find track markers. Pretty easy going trail with a few up hill areas and steps in some places.
Dularcha NP - Roses Circuit (Sunshine Coast) |

Was looking for something different to my usual and came across the Rose Circuit. Took about 3 hours with some very steep hills just before the half way mark. Also some sections of trail with long grass (not a lot of track maintenance). Would agree with suggestions to take map as trail markers are few and far between (I did have wifi coverage the whole time but better safe than sorry). Historic rail tunnel is pretty cool and many beautiful butterflies, moths and birds, but not a track I would regularly walk as there isn't much besides bush viewing.
Mount Coolum (Sunshine Coast) |

Challenging for me with current lower level fitness (feel the leg burn!). Took 25-30 mins up, slightly faster going down. Can be quite slippery on the dusty rocks, some rock scrambling required to reach the top. More challenging the Mt Ngun Ngun in my opinion. Totally worth the trek, trail and view are both beautiful! Super busy the day I went so suggest going as early as possible.

Easy trek with beautiful views. Exposure to the sun for majority of the trek, so definitely take a hat! I wouldn't do this one on a hot day. Great access for wheelchairs/prams for a good portion of the trail. Trail becomes quite narrow after this with sheer cliff drops in some areas. Seriously amazing views.

Appropriately graded. Amazing views from the top. Pretty challenging but within capabilities as relatively inexperienced bushwalkers. Completed in approx 1hr 10mins including time for resting at the top.

Amazing trek, beautiful rainforest. Challenging with all those steps and the uphill return to car park, but love this walk. Have had leeches every time we've been here so recommend taking salt.

Lovely family friendly track. Beautiful rainforest with excellent visitor centre. An old favourite. Outstanding views of the Glasshouse Mountains opposite the park too. |
