Getting there:

Off the Bruce Highway at Nerang on the Gold Coast take the Nerang Murwillumbah Road. Signposted after the dam take a left onto Pine Creek Road and left again onto Springbrook Road that leads you up onto and across the plateau to the various lookouts and walks.

This walk starts from either the Tallanbana picnic area or Canyon Lookout.

Springbrook National Park

Route/Trail notes:

The track is easy to follow but steep in places and can be completed in either direction although anti-clockwise is recommended. There are two junctions where the Warrie Circuit meets this circuit, one near Twin Falls and the other at the base of Blackfellow Falls, but both are well signposted.

Permits/Costs:

None.

Other References/Comments:

The area is very busy particularly at weekends and parking can therefore be a problem.

If you can, visit local information centre a couple kms from Canyon Lookout. I believe it was once the original schoolhouse.

A cooling swim and a picnic at Twin Falls is well worth the effort of the walk down.

Pack a picnic! Definitely not 4 hours. Bring swimmers too! I'd suggest go left first and end up at the main waterfall so you can swim! Very easy. Ps bring good camera with zoom! GC views

Very easy walk. Gorgeous views and cool little caves to walk through. Great place to take visitors with not much bushwalking experience. If you are game, bring your togs for a swim! Water is so clear! But cold!

Great walk for kids, they loved walking behind the fall.

This walk is like a walk through fairyland! So surreal and gorgeous and so very quiet...not many people on the track being a Thursday. I started the walk clockwise, and met a few going the other way. The walk goes behind the falls so a unique perspective. Jogged part of the way downhills and walked uphill parts. Altogether 1 hour 40 mins ( i detoured to see falls on Warrie circuit about 20 mins). Pity someone has defaced the 'you are here' signboards so you cant see your track on the pictures.

One of my favourite walks in Springbrook NP. Great for everybody, good variety. A must do when you are in the area. Combining with Purlingbrook falls circuit, a perfect day out.

Beautiful, Did this walk the day after it rained, made the waterfalls rather spectacular, rained for about half an hour towards the home stretch of the track but a little bit of rain never hurt anyone. Took lots of photos, good hike to do for your first time.

Chose to do this just before a storm so we were walking through a very cloudy valley. It's an easy walk with lots of picturesque waterfalls and overhangs. I recommend, especially when it's cloudy :) Also, we walked anticlockwise, it seemed all the traffic was clockwise and a lot of people started from Canyon Lookout.

Definitely an awesome walk if you enjoy a damp, dark rain forest atmosphere. The trail is fairly easy but gets narrow in some areas, passing through a couple of large rocks that make for a short cave walk. The trail ends at Twin Falls, which is a gorgeous location with a beautiful clear pond at the base.

We did this walk, but had to start it at the Canyon Lookout as the track was closed for maintenance, it rained on and off through this walk so we got quite soaked but it was so beautiful. We walked under Blackfellow Falls, Tallanbana Falls & Twin Falls. All were in their full glory as we had lots of rain in the last week. Definitely worth the walk and the getting wet. We saw several Lamington Spiny Crayfish, and obtained several leeches along the way. All in all, a great day out!
