Mary Cairncross Reserve

Sunshine Coast

This walk never fails to please. At a very leisurely stroll you can stop and enjoy the rainforest and spot the pademelons hidden in the bush. Best time to do the walk is early in the morning to get the pademelons and birds and to avoid the tourist buses.
Views across the road overlooking the Glass House Mountains on a clear day are spectacular.

Nice easy walk. Very pretty.

Really easy walk and perfect for families and people of all ages. I went when there had just been some heavy rain fall and on the day it was raining lightly but honestly was the perfect time to check out this place. So much help from the information center and everything is well signed everywhere. Will do this one again when some cooler weather go over the Sunny Coast area.

Lovely family friendly track. Beautiful rainforest with excellent visitor centre. An old favourite.
Outstanding views of the Glasshouse Mountains opposite the park too.

This is a favourite place for our extended family and is now our fifth visit. It will be great when the new Visitor Centre & Café shortly open and also some new Boardwalk.

Another great visit. Saw plenty of interesting birds. Don't miss the fantastic lookout of the Glasshouse Mountains across the road.

Lovely walk. Came across a red belly black snake on the path.

Always nice to take visitors to this little rainforest pocket. Guaranteed to see Pademelons, lots of birds, pythons and other wildlife if you stay away from the crowdy days. The view from the car park of the Glass House Mountains is already worth the outing!

Nice easy walk; gold coin donation. They are about to start works on a new visitor centre. Café is good for a coffee or snack with views across the Glasshouse mountains

An easy favourite when in the area. Great for kids! We do it as a figure 8 so that we end up doing the longer version of this little track. Loads of pademelons and bird life. Done this track with a mountain buggy pram, and also done it twice with baby in carrier. Very well maintained track. Popular with great facilities and cafe for lunch. Also great views to glasshouse across the road.

First time I did this walk I wore some sandals and ended up with a leech attached to me foot, although I did not get through any water.
Hence - my advice - where proper enclosed footware
