Mount Coolum

Sunshine Coast

Great walk for beginners, excellent views.

Short, steep & sweet. Beautiful ocean views. If you're travelling from a far for the hike, you'll have plenty of time to check out other nearby attractions or do a beach trip as well.

Wow my first climb with lots of steps. I made it to the top but needed time to catch my breath. Not a bad day after all.

Great family walk, with great views the whole way up! Love it!

Did the east route, pretty much as everyone described. Not super steep (Mt Beerburrum is more of a work out) but be wary of wet rocks on your descent as it is very slippy. If you're reasonably fit 15 minutes would be easy.

Nice short, but steep climb.

Got to the last stretch, THE LAST DAMNED STRETCH, before the fear of heights set in on the exposed bit between forest and summit. Spectacular views over the Pacific and the Sunshine Coast itself. I imagine the inland views are awesome as well.

Great walk, bit of huffing and puffing on my account, need to do more cardio I think lol, we took a picnic to have afterwards. Great day, bit cloudy, sprinkled a little bit on the way up, not too much to cause it to be slippery.

Great views from the summit. Quite easy walk, done with 2 yo and 4 yo kids. It was quite crowded at the morning during school holidays. If someone intends to run it, better start very early before "peak hours".

Good fun walk; plenty of man-made steps at lower levels. Great views from top.

My wife and I do this walk often, (weekly) as part of our keep fit campaign. There are some steep bits where you need to pay attention to your footing, the track is well marked with amazing views over part of the township, sea and down towards Maroochydore etc.
