Getting there:

Take the Eumundi Noosa Road off the Bruce Highway (Exit 224) and head east towards Noosa. 500m after the second Eumundi roundabout, turn right into Seib Road and left after 1.7km into Verrierdale Forest Road. 400m along this gravel road is the park gates and a small area to leave your vehicle.

Route/Trail notes:

Recommend that you print off a copy of the Park map to help you. Travel straight in from the gate for 400m, to the 'junction' of all the walks. Signposted from here, turn right and head down the undulating track to the Allandale Road Gate, where you track right and then left through the swamp Paperbark woodland, which is frequently wet and boggy. You then pick up the main trail again that takes you straight down to North Arm Gate. Return by the same route.

Permits/Costs:

None.

Other References/Comments:

This area has a rich history of timber milling and cattle grazing, having been the boundary of three massive cattle runs: Canando, Yandina and North Kenilworth. Judging by the size of many of the remaining trees, I guess some conservation and regeneration was in the minds of the loggers.

Comments

This walk easily floods and turns into a boggy mess, avoid it if it hasn't been dry for at least 2 weeks. Also the mossies will be out in force.

Beautiful stroll through the bush.

Quite frankly, this whole series of trails in this Park are all wonderful. Such a hidden gem. We did most of all these walks across one day, just a week or so after the area coped over 100mm of rain and we had no problem at all getting through all crossings and boggy sections. The trails are actually quite varied apart from no large open expanse but the flora is amazing and varied enough for our taste. Honestly, these were some of the nicest and longest tracks in our area, well marked and well maintained but also rough and ready and in tune with the whole surroundings. My advice would be to not get too hung up about which trail to focus on. Just start at one of the gates and be open minded as the trails intersect a number of times and you can switch from one to the other easily.

I should mention there were no leaches (April) though there were some mozzies in some sections but not enouh to overly bother us.

Overall, I loved all the walks and will go back again at some time to try all the sections we missed out on.

Nice walk, was 10.10km from the car return. Hasn't been raining much but track still wet and muddy. The boggy section isn't boggy anymore as they have raised it and laid gravel.
Got a bit confused at the first gate, the instructions weren't very clear. So to anyone else confused, cross over the gate and then turn right, follow the sign that says "North Arm-Yandina Creek Road gate".

Nice walk. Not too hard. Wasn’t boggy even though it’s been raining the last day or two. Maybe because this is the first real rain in a while.

Added on some of the other circuits for a trail run. Well maintained track. There has been some recent work on the boggy section. I'd still be cautious going through this area in heavy rain. Really good track. One of the better tracks in the area in our opinion

A valiant attempt to complete this walk, except that Council were working to improve the section below the Allandale Road Gate, where it often becomes boggy and impassable.

Followed the Ironbark Trail 4.5km but still didn't reach the end at North Arm -Yandina Creek Road Gate, and we walked at a medium pace. Nice wide tracks with some steep hills, slightly wet in places and there hasn't been any rain recently here on the Sunny Coast lately. There is lots of signage so track is easy to follow. Beware of horse riders, we came across a few even if the sign says no horses allowed. We plan on going back to complete this walk all the way to the end.

Much easier second time around and we didn't get lost! A tiny drizzle of rain but it held off until we finished.

Nice easy track through some marshy, swampy areas especially as it had rained a couple of days ago and rained quite heavy as we reached the end. The map refers to a second gate just before allandale rd. If you get to this road you have missed the track. A few hills but not too steep. A very pleasant walk but a little longer than stated. We did just over 12 kms

PLEASE Note some sections through SWAMP woodland is muddy and wet after rain !!!
Did this walk in combination with all the others , spending a good 3.30 hrs in this park. Nice wide trail to walk on , did some across some mountain bike riders and signs of horse riders too. Quite easy , just a couple mild hills , love the difference of scenery ...rainforest ...ironbark trees ....gumtrees...etc etc
