Completed the buaraba track today and all side tracks. The creek was only just a trickle and the walk back up was hot so would recommend completing the walk earlier in the day. It was a lovely walk and the Gas Beutel lookout is a beautiful place to stop and have a picnic.

Benarkin to Linville- Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	26 Sep, 2021	Medium	18km one-way
Walked the final part for us of the BVRT from Nurinda to LINVILLE . It’s getting too hot to keep going each weekend so plan to cycle from Yarraman to Wulkuraka when the weather gets cooler again. It has been a lovely place to walk during winter.

Lovely little walk down to the falls. I didn’t expect it to be flowing given there hasn’t been any significant rain for months but definitely a flow happening.
Esk to Toogoolawah - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	31 Aug, 2021	Medium	19km one-way 5 hrs
Completed over a couple of weekends walking up and back in sections over Winter. Have finally made it to Toogoolawah, next stop Harlin.
Esk to Ottaba - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	25 Aug, 2021	Easy	11km one-way 3 hrs
Completed this walk on a beautiful August day. It is definitely starting to get a lot hotter on the trail though so definitely one for the cooler months. This section of the BVRT is largely right next to the Brisbane Valley Highway so not as peaceful as some other sections. Esk is a great spot for lunch and exploring the shops and Ottaba has the Llama farm. There really isn’t any access point here except for the locked gate directly opposite the Llama farm which is just before the old Ottaba station if you are coming from Esk.

Another lovely section of the BVRT that I am slowly walking return sections of each weekend.
Lowood to Coominya Rail Trail (South East Queensland)	13 Jun, 2021	Medium	12km one-way 3 hrs
Slowly walking the rail trail up and back in sections of between 10-16km a section. Walked this section in two trips. This is a really flat section. Lowood are working on beautifying the sides of the rail trail with gardens and it is already looking amazing. Coominya is small but a lovely pub at the end.
Fernvale to Lowood - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	8 May, 2021	Easy	8km one-way 2 hrs
Nice flat walk today up and back between Fernvale and Lowood. Quite a hot day with no shade so I definitely do not recommend this in summer. Good views of the river in one section.
Wulkaraka to Fernvale - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	3 May, 2021	Medium	20km one-way 5 hrs
I don't have access to a car shuttle at the moment so I have taken 3 weekends to walk from Wulkuraka to Fernvale doing up and back in sections. Section 1 was from the train station at Wulkuraka to Muirlea station sign about 10km return. Section 2 from the Muirlea station sign to Borallon Station Road and then from Borallon Station Road up to Fernvale. The last section was the prettiest with lots of flowering grass and beautiful countryside. Definitely would be very hot in summer.
Borallon Station Road to Fernvale - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	25 Apr, 2021	Easy	15km one-way 3 hrs
Walked in two sections since we need to walk up and back. First section Borallon Station Road to Fairney View and then second stage from Fairney View to Fernvale. This is a lovely section of the walk, the nicest so far coming from Wulkuraka. Lovely farmland and a gorgeous autumn day.
Diamantina Boulevard to Borallon Station Road - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	18 Apr, 2021	Easy	10km one-way 2 hrs
Walked from Bayley Rd Muirlea at the end of the concrete bikeway to the Borallon station road carpark and return a total of 12km. Not much to see specifically but lovely quiet countryside filled with bird song. It was a nice time of year to do the walk, not too hot and beautiful clear blue sky.
Wulkuraka Station to Diamantina Boulevard - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	2 Apr, 2021	Very Easy	3.8km one-way 90 mins
Decided to go west today to avoid the Easter traffic to the coasts. This was a fairly uninspiring section of the BVRT but the next section promises more country scenery. I walked to Muirlea, 10km return and it was a flat easy walk.
Tugun Hill Conservation Area (Gold Coast)	13 Mar, 2021	Easy	2.5km return 45 mins
Completed the circuit which is just under 1km, so a very short walk. No view at the top but a pleasant bushland area.
Palm Beach Parklands (Gold Coast)	13 Mar, 2021	Very Easy	3.5km return 1 hr
This is a really lovely area and I had never been here before so keen to return with the SUP. We walked around both sections and still didn't quite make 3km so not very long and super easy walk.
Cougal Cascades (Springbrook National Park)	13 Mar, 2021	Very Easy	1.6km return 1 hr
Short walk and much further out of Currumbin than expected but worth the drive. Beautiful oasis of rainforest and gorgeous crystal clear creek area. Very busy on weekends so get there early to get a park.
Tallebudgera Creek Circuit (Gold Coast)	6 Mar, 2021	Easy	8km return 2 hrs
Completed this walk today plus a detour up Burleigh Ridge. Nice walk, quite a bit is along beside houses with not much of a view but also some very lovely parts of the walk beside the water. Nice and flat except for the side trip up the hill.
Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area (Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area )	13 Feb, 2021	Easy	5km return 1 hr
We walked just under 10km doing the majority of the tracks. Perfectly flat and wide trails with kangaroos. Nice place to get some exercise.

Nice short walk before we tackled the longer trails in the other section
Frilled Neck Lizard Circuit (White Rock - Spring Mountain Conservation Estate)	7 Feb, 2021	Medium	2.5km return 30 mins
I couldn't find the Springfield lakes entrance to the Ironbark trail so we started from the Frilled Neck Lizard Circuit and walked the longer portion of the Ironbark trail and back to finish the circuit. The Ironbark circuit particularly is quite sandy so this would not be pleasant when wet but it is a lovely walk in the forest.
