Binna Burra is about a 2 hour drive from Brisbane and is located up in the hinterland of the Gold Coast.
Lamington National Park is the glorious rainforest that surrounds this area 🌿

They have a few walks to choose from up this way. Whether you are after a short stroll or a longer hike, I guarantee they will all be beautiful 🍃☘🦋🦎🦘 Today I hiked the Coomera Circuit 👟🚶‍♀️
This is a 17.5 km hike through lush, tropical rainforest which crosses Coomera River several times and leads you to some pretty magnificent waterfalls 🏞

They say to allow 7 hours for this hike. It took me 4.5 hours all up and that was stopping for MANY photo's and about 45 minutes at one of the falls rock hopping and playing in the water for a rest and grounding 🧘‍♀️💙💧
Don't go by Strava, it dropped out on me and missed about 7 km of this hike.
They have had a lot of rain up this way and it is so lush and green 💚🍃
But it has made the track slippery and boggy with a lot of debris as well as tree's fallen across the track in places. So just be mindful.

This hike is an easy hike but long. I am clumsy at the best of times, but by the home stretch I was tripping over my own feet 🥴

Coomera Circuit is a picturesque hike through our magical Lamington National Park.
This hike is one I highly recommend 🌄

Beautiful walk. Had some intermittent rain throughout, but it just made the waterfalls look more spectacular, and the moss look greener. Lots of leeches, so wear DEET insect repellent if possible. Drop in for a cup of tea at the teahouse after! Hopefully next time they still have some lamingtons left :)

A great circuit for a enjoyable walk as a group. Picturesque forest and creek crossings with super old giant trees in some parts. Also spotted the Coomera River crayfishes.

This track was amazing! Probably my favourite from Binna Burra! The views from the Coomera Falls look our are just breaktaking! We really want to make the trek into the gorge as from up top it looks like a stunning paradise down below. The trek was relatively easy but it’s long. We did the Coomera falls section first and then back out along the border track. The view from Joalah was amazing and we saw a blue tounge lizard just chillaxing.
This is going to be a favourite I feel!

Gorgeous walk. At a relaxed pace, about 4.5 hours, stopping to take pics and muck about. No real strenuous inclines, so it's nice for beginners

Set out with my walking friend at 9am. Walked along the Border track until we found the Mt Hobwee Circuit. We kept a good pace and reached the summit at noon. Every time we wanted to stop for a sip of water and then carried on about 20-30 meters ahead there was a way better spot. We had lots of laughs about this along the way. We had a nice break and look at the view at the summit while having a snack and a sip of water. We decided to go back down to the round rock & view to have lunch. After lunch headed back down the switchbacks and on the second half of the circuit. Ran into some very overgrown, but still recognisable trail until we got to the Coomera Circuit. We looked at the sign, and then the time 3pm and decided to go back via this way to finish off our hike. The fauna started changing almost immediately and the air got a bit more damp, we crossed over the water many times and saw many beautiful waterfalls along the way. The view from the Coomera Lookout was absolutely amazing. But, by this time it was 3:30 - I started to think we may not make it back to the car before dark. We continued on our walk and made it back to the main track with 2.1 miles to go. The sun was down and it was starting to get dark, but we picked up the pace a little and made it back to the car. All in all, we walked 8.5 hours and a total of 25 km. I definitely remember this walk, such a good day out.

This is how to celebrate living! We did this walk after it had been raining a bit so the many water crossings were very challenging but absolutely brilliant - a walking pole & leech repellent are a must. We were so surprised to see a few 'yabbies' along the way, & were later to find out that they were 'Lamington Spiny Crayfish' & are native to the area. This would have to be one of the most wonderful experiences of my life.

Fantastic walk! Took us 5 1/2 hours at a steady pace with 30 mins of stopping all up. Lots of creek crossings and waterfalls, might be a bit hard to cross after a lot of rain and there would be lots of leeches after some rain. The rain stopped about 4 days before we got there so we didn't see any leeches. We did see 2 snakes (big python and a whip snake), 6 big lizards, goanna, frogs, paddy melons, crayfish, colorful birds and some pesky bush turkeys. All in all a really really nice walk.

Easy trailed hike with a small amount of rock hopping. Lots of beautiful waterfalls and fungi after the recent rains but also lots of leeches!

Very picturesque walk with many waterfalls along the way to visit. Coomera falls were of course the highlight. Were fortunate enough to see several of the blue crayfish in the ponds and even had one large one (almost a lobster really) out of the water and crossing the track. Quite a few creek crossings to navigate but not overly difficult, just the potential slippery rock risk. Track markings could be improved around the water areas. Picked up several leeches and had a fat red-bellied black sunning itself on the track. A relatively easy walk that took us 6 hours to complete. Very pretty walk though, thoroughly recommend.

Only walked to the Falls and back to Binna Burra as I had a bunch of kids with me and I was on a time limit. Did 9km return. Beautiful and the Falls were spectacular.

Lovely day for a fantastic walk. Went anti-clockwise, which made the walk back easier. Met a friendly guide along the way, who thankfully suggested taking the Tullawallal track back - much sunnier and brighter than the Border Track that time of day. So many waterfalls, spoilt for choice. Fairly easy walk, with the creek crossings the only real time to take extra care. All the falls were spectacular and different in their own way. Coomera falls was breathtaking. Left Binna Burra at 9am and returned at 3pm, after having a 15 minute morning tea and 20 minute lunch break.
