Warrie Circuit

Springbrook National Park

Beautiful walk through the valley. Pass and go through lots of waterfalls and rainforest.

Stop at Apple Tree Park for toilet stop on way. Circuit is another 5-10min drive from there.

Public toilets are also located at Tallanbana Picnic Area approximately 300m on the right before Canyon Lookout where Warrie Circuit begins - toilets are set back off the road and can't be seen from the road, but, they're there just behind the picnic tables.

Cuts across the Ngarri-dhum Falls a few times in one half, and the Little Nerang Creek in the other half. The half way point is the Meeting of the Waters where (as the name suggests) the two creeks meet.

Route/Trail notes

From the Canyon lookout turn right and follow the path. The path is extremely well signed and marked. There are a few turnoffs for the 4km Twin Falls circuit, but stay right. It's virtually impossible to get lost. The first few kilometres head downhill past a few beautiful waterfalls. After while you lose altitude into the rainforest. A few switch backs downhill and you end up at the half way point, where all the creeks meet. Beautiful place to stop for lunch.

The walk back up hill isn't steep with lots of switch backs. At one stage near the top you get near another waterfall. There's a sign pointing to the Twin Falls circuit, but turn right and walk behind the waterfall. Best part of the trek! Follow the climb back up and walk along the ridge back to the car, checking out views all the way to Surfers Paradise.

Comments

Waterfalls were a bit dry due to lack of rain but still a fantastic walk, had been meaning to do this walk for a long time and it was well worth the walk. Is definately shorter than as signed, around 14.5k.

A lovely Rain-forest walk with lots to see, waterfalls, Lookouts & waterholes for a cool dip, Highly recommended

Did this walk today in 3.5 hours. This is one of my favourite tracks for the beautiful trees, birdlife, wallabies, lizards and of course the waterfalls - of which there is still a trickle flowing over each one. Again, it’s about 14k not 17. It’s fairly easy going for the first half (if walking anti-clockwise) and the second half has some switchbacks which will get your heart rate up. If it didn’t take me an hour and a half to get there, I’d go every week!

A beautiful walk, very dry, but still had a dip in the pool. Great fun

Saw our first stubborn python lying on the track

Favourite hike so far! This was a wonderful walk... we started at the Canyon Lookout and did the entire circuit (without the Pinnacle) anticlockwise - a total of 14.5km...not 17km! Took us 5 hours but we paused a lot for photos of birds & the waterfalls.

Great walk - great landscape and diversity. My GPS measured the walk at 14.5km.

Felt like a waterfall or river crossing every 500m, keeps you motivated for the long 5 hour hike. Few spots where you had to dip /dodge overgrown parts of the track. But highly recommended and would be extremely hard to get lost.

Great times! Nice and easy although a bit slippy underfoot. Listen out for lazerbirds

Awesome swimming hole under a waterfall at the bottom.

A Waterfall lovers paradise.
It was fun to walk behind a couple of falls and with the recent rains, everything looked really nice. There were also a few extra little trickles of water here and there.
It was a bit muddy and slippery in places and there were a few trees down but the track was still easily passable.

Brilliant walk, amazing scenery.

Spectacular! The waterfalls were stunning, the walk is really enjoyable as the landscape is pretty diverse. Did it in 4 hours at an average pace and a few small stops. As other comments suggested we started down the right hand side of the lookout.

Amazing walk and after having a bit of rain 2 days before, some paths were quite slippery. It was an easy path to follow and the highlights of the walk, were definitely walking behind the 2 waterfalls. Fantastic and will do this walk again in the future, probably clockwise to change it up a bit. This walk only took us just under 4 hours in a very comfortable pace.

Simply stunning! So many waterfalls and gorgeous animals to see along the way. It did not seem like 17km, and I would rate it as easy - moderate, especially when starting the walk from the right path rather than the left path at Canyon Lookout as the walk uphill from this direction is very gradual and not at all steep.

Stunning hike thoroughly recommend
