Beautiful walk through the valley. Pass and go through lots of waterfalls and rainforest.

Stop at Apple Tree Park for toilet stop on way. Circuit is another 5-10min drive from there.

Public toilets are also located at Tallanbana Picnic Area approximately 300m on the right before Canyon Lookout where Warrie Circuit begins - toilets are set back off the road and can't be seen from the road, but, they're there just behind the picnic tables.

Cuts across the Ngarri-dhum Falls a few times in one half, and the Little Nerang Creek in the other half. The half way point is the Meeting of the Waters where (as the name suggests) the two creeks meet.

Getting there

Exit 79 on the Pacific Motorway. Follow Springbrook Road about 27 kms up the plateau. Turn left at a sign that says "Canyon lookout 0.2". Park at the Canyon lookout.

Route/Trail notes

From the Canyon lookout turn right and follow the path. The path is extremely well signed and marked. There are a few turnoffs for the 4km Twin Falls circuit, but stay right. It's virtually impossible to get lost. The first few kilometres head downhill past a few beautiful waterfalls. After while you lose altitude into the rainforest. A few switch backs downhill and you end up at the half way point, where all the creeks meet. Beautiful place to stop for lunch.

The walk back up hill isn't steep with lots of switch backs. At one stage near the top you get near another waterfall. There's a sign pointing to the Twin Falls circuit, but turn right and walk behind the waterfall. Best part of the trek! Follow the climb back up and walk along the ridge back to the car, checking out views all the way to Surfers Paradise.

Great walk! Went out to the Pinnacle following the pink tags and a scramble up the rocks to the top. Garmin said total ks was 19.5k

What a stunning walk! Waterfalls everywhere. It was drizzling for our entire hike which meant lots of mud and slippery rocks. My hiking partner fell on one of the creek crossings (was fine thankfully!) so be very cautious. We started at Tallanbana - recommend taking some loo paper just in case you if are driving a long distance to get there. Amazingly didn't get a single leech.

Started from Tallanbana and did a quick side detour to Twin Falls first and then backtracked to do Warrie anti clockwise. All up 15.7 km and 4 hours walking time. Seems a shame to only do the Warrie circuit and miss Twin Falls would be better if the two trails were combined somehow so all waterfalls are covered

Did this walk today - on our way down we saw a park ranger who told us that they've remeasured the track and it's only 14km not the previously signed 16km. Beautiful walk today, took us almost exactly 4hrs to complete, including a very brief lunch break.

Pretty busy on the trail today.

Great walk, not too much water in the falls but that meant that there were no leeches too.

Completed mid week to avoid crowds. Walk was nice and quite. Quite muddy and falls were a little dry in places, rocks at creek crossings were very slippery , even in hiking boots. Very beautiful walk, easy gradient and gentle inclines.

Well marked and beautiful trail through lots of waterfalls. Just over 4 hours return with a stop for lunch, walking at a moderate pace. Expect leeches, so ankle covers are recommended.

I did this walk again yesterday and wasn't disappointed, the waterfalls were at their best and surprisingly not a single leech! The wind was howling when we parked the car at the lookout but wasn't noticeable once we started to descend into the valley. Previously I clocked the walk at about 14.5 kilometres but this time visited Twin Falls first, then the cave and later on took the track to the Pinnacle so ended up at 19.8. The path to the Pinnacle was easy to miss, the track runs into a large tree with a couple of arrows that have almost faded, at what is almost a T junction and the track to the Pinnacle [ to the right] had a few branches across it. A few parts of the track were almost invisible and we had to stop a couple of times to make sure we hadn't gone astray, ferns have almost covered the track in places but there are a few pink ribbons that are a help. I would advise a gps to make sure not to miss the turn off. The Pinnacle was a real highlight for me and I would highly recommend doing the extra couple of kilometres if you want fantastic 360 views and don't mind a bit of a rock scramble. I initially had two attempts at reaching the peak but the wind was so strong that I couldn't hang on even on hands and knees. I was about to give up when there was a bit of a lull in the wind so took the opportunity to make a dash for the summit, and so glad I did. There was a fair bit of debris on the track and a few trees down.

My 4th time doing the walk. It was absolutely amazing with the rain and the waterfalls all flowing heavily! There’s so much water coming over every waterfall! Make sure you wear some gators to stop the leaches chomping at your ankles...they’re everywhere - even got some on my hands from touching rocks & trees.

Great day. No rain but cloudy. Saw 20 others on the track. Didn’t see any wildlife but was prepared with Bushmans to keep the leeches at bay. Will bring the swimmers next time to have a dip at Meeting of the Waters. Really quite a good walk. GPS said 15km though. Still a great day out. Just under 4hours to complete with a few short stops.

First time doing this, and what a beautiful hike, especially ater all the recent rainfalls.

Took 90 mins to get from Talanbana Carpark to the Meeting of the Waters (keeping right/South), and another 2 hours to get back up, completing the circuit. I was powering through the whole thing (not running) and stopped briefly twice on the way back up.

Next time will make a day of it, and swim in the pools along the way.

As of the time of writing, the northern side (the section of the loop with Coorooloa Falls) has a few logs and trees over the track that are likely due to recent storms. Very passable, but requires a bit of a scramble.

I have done this walk twice now and it has been 14km long according to Apple Watch and has taken 4hrs and 20 minutes which includes stopping at meeting of the river and 20min break at poonyara falls( good place for a stop if you do the circuit anticlockwise which I recommend). This is with a avg pace of 16.30 min kms. It is a great walk to get into longer hikes. Easy walking with a well established track, there is a few sections now after the rain with trees down that you will have to navigate over. So many waterfalls around this loop and lots of swimming holes

First time on the Warrie Circuit this morning. As other have noted below, it's a beautiful walk through the rainforest with multiple running waterfalls and streams to admire.

I parked at the Tallanbana car park, and the hike took 5 hours car to car, including 30 minutes break about half-way.

A quick dip in the rockpool at the base of twin falls was the perfect way to cool off after 17km of summer rainforest bushwalking.

Certainly a long walk, so take plenty of water.

Waterfalls, dramatic outlooks, stunning Flora, Blue freshwater Crayfish.. this track has it all! Did I mention leeches?

I have done this walk a number of times and the beauty never fails to amaze me. Definitely a favourite! The recent rain has the rivers and waterfalls flowing nicely 💗✨

This is beautiful at any time! My 3rd time and I’ll do it again. Saw heaps of wildlife today - heaps of land mullets (the world’s largest skink) sunning themselves everywhere, a Stephens Banded Snake (dangerously venomous apparently), wonderful birdlife (wompoo fruit dove, eastern spinebill. eastern yellow rosella, plenty of wrens, Australian logrunners, catbirds, rufous fantail, crimson rosella, Brown cuckoo-dove, honeyeaters, eastern yellow robins etc). This is such a wonderful hike with water still trickling over each waterfall. Only saw 2 other people on the track!

This is the second time I had done this walk and this time the walk had more wildlife which was lovely to see. The world’s largest skink was easily spotted along the track, Woompoo Fruit Doves, Cicada Birds, Brown-cuckoo Dove, Australian Logrunner, Catbirds...to name a few. Approximately 4hrs 50 all up and this catered for photographing the wildlife (pauses, searching etc). It is a track for quiet - no loud conversations etc so you can fully enjoy what the area has to offer. Oh, and there was a poisonous snake.
