Bluff Point Walking Track (Central Queensland)
20 Oct, 2017
Medium
2.3km return

We enjoyed this walk. The views are great. We did this walk late in the day and the water was a bit murky, probably due to recent rain, so we didn't see turtles. Never the less it's still a good walk.
Double Head Track (Central Queensland)

We loved Fan Rock. It is a really interesting geological formation, Also beautiful views of the coastline.
Double Head - Northern Peak (Central Queensland)
20 Oct, 2017
Hard
800m return
40 mins
This track wasn't as difficult as we had imagined. Care is needed, but we have climbed much harder. The view is amazing from the top. Well worth it. We found ourself off the main track on the way down, but quickly righted our descent without problem.
Tabbil-ban dhagun (Brisbane City Council Local Walks)
8 Oct, 2017
Very Easy
1.5km return

We were hoping to see the rainbow bee eaters but none were to be seen today though we have seen them here in the past. We enjoyed watching all of the different crabs among the mangroves though and also a couple of kingfishers.
Ferny Grove Rail Trail (Brisbane City Council Local Walks)
7 Oct, 2017
Very Easy

We found this rail trail more enjoyable than the Caboolture Rail Trail. The track is now fully sealed. It is a bike track so you need to watch out for that.
Yugar Rail Trail (South East Queensland)

Nice easy walk. It's a bit disappointing not to be able to go inside the cave but understandable.
Red Beach to Woorim (Moreton Island National Park)
7 Oct, 2017
Medium

90 mins
Another great walk this time at low tide on hard sand.
Tweed River Walk (New South Wales)
30 Sep, 2017
Easy
8.2km return

Unfortunately the boardwalk is still closed. We tried to go around it by following a bush track but the track came to an end and we needed to turn back and retrace our steps.
Boat Harbour, Point Danger and North Tweed Circuit (Gold Coast)
30 Sep, 2017
Easy
4.15km return
1 hr
This was a much nicer walk than the Tweed river walk. It has some really nice views along the way. While the track is paved all the way some parts are covered by sand. We saw whales from the headland which was fantastic.
Caboolture Rail Trail (Moreton Island National Park)
9 Sep, 2017
Easy
20.6km return
5 hrs
This was a nice easy walk although it was mostly in the open with only some patches of shade mostly on the Wamuran end. We wouldn't recommend it for summer. The first 3.5km was fairly residential. Never the less being able to get a bite to eat at Wamuran was a nice break before the walk back.
Maleny Trail (Peace in the Trees Circuit) (Sunshine Coast)
29 Aug, 2017
Easy
5.5km return
2 hrs
A very enjoyable walk as you would expect at Maleny with beautiful countryside. Following the signage was a bit tricky once we got around the other side of the golf course. The historic farmhouse is Fairview and so if you remember that and follow the signs to Dairview you should be right. Once you get there you don't need to paddock bash. Follow the driveway out and turn left onto Porters Lane and then left again where the sign says private property. We did the walk on the late afternoon and finished off in the dark. A highlight was seeing platypus.
Greenes Falls via Rainforest Circuit + Cypress Grove Circuit (D'Aguilar National Park)
12 Aug, 2017
Medium
4.3km return
2 hrs
Such a good walk. We've been here in the past when it's been quite muddy but nice and dry today. Never the less some water was still going over the Falls, not that you see too much of them. We started the walk quite late at about 4.30pm and we're back in an hour.
Rainforest Circuit (D'Aguilar National Park)

We walked this track as part of the Greens Falls walk. It was almost dark by the time we got back because we started late but the track is very clear and easy to follow. This is a popular walk.
Cliveden Avenue Reserve (South East Queensland)
11 Aug, 2017
Easy
2.2km return
40 mins
Nice easy walk which we found very easy to follow once we found the path. If you, like us, can't see it at first. Walk straight ahead from the end of the culsersac and follow the bollards to the left. The track begins behind the trees. Parts of the track were a bit muddy but easily avoided.
Lagoon Walk (Sunshine Coast)
18 Jul, 2017
Easy
1.6km return

This botanic gardens was a nice surprise. Everything is quite natural and yet well cared for. There is even a coffee shop. We began our walk around the lagoon but we're stopped by the path being taped off with a 'wet paint' message. So we started the track from the other end to see how far around we could get. We did make it a fair way around but had to stop before making it all the way back. We ended up walking another much longer thick - o think a little over 2km.
Chermside Hills, Raven St Reserve, and Milne Hill Circuit (South East Queensland)
15 Jul, 2017
Medium
7.1km return
2 hrs
Having just completed the walk it feels like we've been on an adventure. Following the directions was really fun. We did get confused a couple of times though. The worst time was near the beginning. We should have followed straight up to the top of spider hill but we saw the sign for the Giwadha track and followed that instead. If you set your mind to walk up to the top of the hill in the beginning you should be right. The hill isn't signed from the bottom. It confused us enough that we decided to just walk around all the other tracks in the area but managed to pick the track up where you go under Hamilton Rd.

Pomax Track (Brisbane City Council Local Walks)
15 Jul, 2017
Medium
1.3km return
30 mins
This is the second time we've walked this track. It's not a bad walk.
Maculata Track (Mt. Coot-tha)
1 Jul, 2017
Medium
5.1km return
90 mins
Quite a nice walk. Strenuous in places and quite rocky in others. We got a little confused in some parts, firstly by the sign to the reservoir because the track doesn't actually take you there but to a water joke. The reservoir is the concrete tank variety and not at all inspiring. The signage for the rest of the track is a little confusing and we were helped by looking at the tracks on google maps. Never the less if you read the instructions carefully you should be fine. Just note that there are some intersections not mentioned that simply need to be crossed.
Eagleby Wetlands (South East Queensland)

Nice walk with a number of options. We didn't have any problem with mosquitoes today.
Baxter Falls - Southern Approach (Kondalilla National Park)

This part of the Sunshine Coast Great walk was really enjoyable. It's only the last 400m of the walk that is really steep. Mind you a large part of the walk does descend until you reach the waterfall. The toilet is at the Flaxton Walkers Camp. The walk is well sign posted though there aren't many signs for this particular waterfall. If you follow the signs to Mapleton falls you can't miss it.
