There was a tree which had called across the path .. was easy enough to cross but perhaps not so much for elderly or those pushing a stroller

Nice walk rewarded by rock pools at the bottom... But you need to walk back up the way you came down... will get the un fit puffing but really not all that bad just a few stairs towards the top to make you feel alive... some good info on the rock formations on the way down... worth the walk... the cafe is only a few kms by car further on 👍
Tibrogargan Circuit (Glass House Mountains National Park) |

Did this walk on the weekend pretty simple walk a few good views as you walk around the base... did the first part of the summit trail... which gets steep quick.. it’s a marked track to the first Rock face at least. Turned around after that...too hot in the day... . it’s not easy, plenty of loose Rock and essentially just climbing up a steep rocky path / trail...

Did the first part to the first rock face on the market track ... didn’t even make to chicken rock? Was about 10am way too hot.. very steep track with lots of loose rocks .. the track ? well it marked but certainly not smooth paving . Essentially just stepping from rock to rock...you’re legs will burn and you’ll be puffing if youre not fit

Witches Chase (Tamborine National Park) |

Did the Chase and the circuit on the weekend. To reach the Witches Chase parking area you need to drive down a dirt track about 50m. The chase pArt of the track is not all that difficult although its over grown in some sections. It decends through nice forest to the falls lookout which looks out to the west over the valley. The biggest issue is proably 200-300m in where the track is simply a pile of 200mm-500mm sharp edged rocks constituting a track. |

Did the Witches Falls circuit as a continuation of the Chase track. If youre doing the circuit I’d suggest travelling in an anti clockwise direction as the zigzaging track up the face of the hill is less of a climb albeit longer. From the falls you double back along the track and either head left and tackle the steeper track to the carpark or head straight ahead to the seasonal lagoon (very green but dry on the weekend). When you’re at the lagoon there is a alternate “wet track” marked by star pickets and reflective markers which takes a slightly wider berth around the “lagoon”. The balance of the circuit is highlighted by some huge strangler figs with monstrous buttress roots. The ascent anti clockwise isn’t all that spectacular although some good views of the valley to the West. There are a few signs saying don’t do this section after wet weather due to land slides. There wasn’t any evidence that a slide has occurred in recent times.
Cedar Creek Falls (Tamborine National Park) |

Did this track on the weekend . Good easy walk . Sealed path all the way. If you’re planning on making a day of doing the walks on Mt Tamborine I’d recomend doing this one first as it on the way up and more importantly it has a limited number of carparks and given it a nice place for a picnic it gets full early and then you’re faced with parking the top of the hill the at the turn off probably 300m away.
Sandy Creek Circuit (Tamborine National Park) |

Did this walk on the weekend. Well worth it! Quite easy and excellent walk. Top of carpark has nice picnic area and great views of the valley below. The track leads down to the bottom of the gully where the circuit starts (we went clockwise) don’t think there’s any advantage either way. The track follows the creek and eventually moves away as you approach the 90m Cameron Falls lookout side track to the left. The track to the lookout and the falls is slightly overgrown mostly grass. The return track follows the other bank of the creek and generally follows a higher line above the creek
Curtis Falls (Tamborine National Park) |

Relatively easy walk to the falls. Nice view once down there. It’s a shame the select few take it upon themselves to disregard the sign by jumping the fence then sitting right by the falls, oblivious to anyone else wanting to take a photo.
Lower Creek Circuit (Tamborine National Park) |
21 May, 2018 |
Medium |
2.4km return 75 mins |

Did the lower creek circuit the same time as doing Curtis Falls. Did it in an anti clockwise direction. The walk is quite easy, may be a little bit easier if done in a clockwise direction....theres a few stairs to climb once you cross the creek by hopping across a few stones at the halfway mark.
Purling Brook Falls Circuit (Springbrook National Park) |
9 May, 2018 |
Medium |

Some good scenery particularly at the top of the falls and up stream of the falls. The base of the falls was worth the walk.. Only half the circuit is open, so you’re going to be walking up all those stairs, so many stairs! It was a good work out for an old guy.
Twin Falls Circuit (Springbrook National Park) |

What an awesome walk ... way better that Purling Brook falls. Heaps of water falls and views. A lot easier walk than purling brook (so many stairs) as well. Only issue is the limited parking spaces means you have to park on the side of the road on most weekends.

It had been raining on the day and the days before so the track had muddy and slippery sections. The entry to the track is on the left of the sealed road about 150m down hill from the gate where we parked. The track itself wasn’t too bad despite the conditions. Was worth the walk. |
