Even though there were not any views I enjoyed this walk. Lovely trees and a nice walk through the forest. The park sign says this takes about 2.5 hours but we took a slow pace and did it in 40 mins so not at all a long walk.

I had a little bit of navigational trouble with this walk but admittedly I didn’t use a GPS. Highwood Rs dead ends at Mt Cootha reserve at both ends. If you find the end where you can park directly in front of the reserve that’s the wrong end. I could not find zig zag track and note it’s not on the Mt Cootha map. The walk down the Gold Creek Trail and then to the tunnel track was however straightforward and the steep sections weren’t too long. |

This was a very easy to follow walk through the forest with the added bonus of a short detour to the lookout from the Ubajee Walkers Camp. We did 9km in total and took just over 2 hours with a nice break at the lookout.
Beerburrum to Trachyte and Tibrogragan Circuits (Glass House Mountains National Park) |

Started this walk in the middle of the day as Sunday afternoon is the only spare time we have for walking. To say it was hot would be an understatement. It was a good walk through. The track is now well signed and you essentially just follow the Soldier Settlers Walk until you hit the Trachyte Circuit. You no longer need to go to the day use area to start the Tibrogargan circuit but we took the opportunity for a short toilet break and rest in the shade. Great views at various points and a good gradient with no significant steep parts. Our Strava said 15km and took 3.5 hours of walking plus a 30 min break in the middle. |

This walk was absolutely beautiful at full tide but you will get your feet wet if you walk at anything other than a lowering tide. Unfortunately a fair bit of rubbish. Please take a bag and cart a load of rubbish out with you.

A very enjoyable walk with enough shade for even a hot day. Dogs are not allowed through the wetland section but you could probably bypass that if you needed to. Lovely day trip with a cooling swim at the end.

The walk down to the gorge and back up isn’t that hard although it is uphill on the way back and very very hot this summer. The rock hopping in the gorge if you follow the footprints is challenging but great fun and simply gorgeous. Water levels were low and you had to swim through a lot of moss and algae to get to a clear waterhole so we didn’t swim.
